8 Inch Chefs Knife, Sharp Japanese Chef knives with Sheath

The media could not be loaded. Received this knife today. Came as a nice presentation in black box with magnetic close. The label on the box stated it was was a non serrated steak knife (although misspelled), the knife is actually serrated. It appears to be well balanced and made out of quality materials with a nice finish on the metal and the handle. The rivets on the handle are a smidge noticeable along the edges though not a huge deal as long as it doesn't come apart. As far as its cutting ability; it appears to to do a damn good job at that. The knife is sharp and the serrated edge cuts into a ham steak with ease. The knife edge is actually very sharp and doesn't appear to tear the food with the serrations as many other cheap knives do. It also cuts oranges very easily. At this time with first use, it has left me with a positive impression though I would like to see the spelling and the label corrected as that is an indication of poor quality assurance.

Amazing at cutting small vegetables. The knife is nearly 10 inches total length, 5 inches of blade. Fits well in the hand - not too heavy, and feels well built and not cheap. Fairly sharp right out of the box, but was even better after a quick honing. Classic black wood handle, and a bright stainless steel with a unique pattern is very appealing. Does come with a plastic sheath to help keep the blade sharp while in storage. Excellent value at this price-point. I will likely purchase some of the other style knives of this brand and seller. Makes a great gift as they come in an easily wrap-able box.

Just came in and I love it feels great in my hand and is a beautiful blade. Got gift card from work for Christmas and wanted a new knife for work found this and it came quicker than expected so I’ll get to use it making Christmas dinner where I work for the residents.

I usually buy knives in large sets but since I really only needed a new pairing knife I gave this single a shot, and I'm in love. It came in it's own gift box with a sheath to keep the blade safe while not in use, esthetically it's beautiful. It's not just a tool with excellent utility use, there is talent and craftsmanship in this piece. It's elevated to art work. Beyond that it is easily the best quality in my kitchen, does the job better than the bigger butcher knives. I use it for veggie and fruit prep mostly and it has not dulled or tarnished, I just love it. Such a great value. I will be ordering more from this company in the future.

It’s a nice knife, overall a fair value. Nothing wrong with it a month in, dishwasher safe so far.

This is a fine knife. But it is NOT Serrated. The attached photo shows a third party utility knife that is serrated, and the knife sold by Amazon which is definitely NOT serrated. The serrated, or “jagged, sawlike” feature is simply painted onto the metal of the blade. Ridiculous. Guess where it is made.

I just received this knife so I don't know how well it will hold up. That said, it has an excellent fit in the hand. The blade came sharp enough to shave hairs off my arm. The etching on the blade is attractive. I appreciate the decorative rivet in the handle.

As an older male and a retired toolmaker I insist on top quality tools in my garage. But apparently this doesn't extend into the kitchen. But I got tired of the usual set of steak knives, which are basically junk. So I purchased this steak knife. I am more than happy with it.It is well made and you can tell it is made of high quality metal because it maintains its edge for so long. It is now my favorite knife to use in the kitchen and I recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality steak knife.
