Q: What does the sizing mean (Lx5)?

Size large and the inseam is 5"

Q: What color is "nocturnal"? Is it the same as navy?

They are not navy color, a medium blue color

Q: Are these true to size? I'm a 16/18, should i order 1X or 2X?

I'm the same size. I ordered the 2x because I typically find Columbia very narrow in the hips. The 2x fit well - but the shorts are so wide at the bottom. I like a wide short since it tends to make my thigh look smaller.......but these looked clownish.
