Audiovox Car XMH10A Xpress Home Kit

So, i wasn't exactly thrilled when i purchased this. Only because i had received a free XM radio from another site i participate in, and i was told that i was getting the roady.Well i decided that i would stick with what i had won and i would buy the home adapter for use with my tv. I purchased this shortly after and hooked it up. I am very happy that i did.Pros - Small, not huge and clunky - Sleek design - Light weight! - Fits on my tv topCons - Limited mobility due to the antennaeOverall, im very happy i received the radio, and even happier that i bought the home kit. After Christmas i plan to buy a new receiver and a home kit setup so that my current receiver can be put into my car.

Before I purchased the Home Kit from anyone (directly from Sirus or from another site) I made sure to look at the reviews to see if it would work with my XM Onyx system. This was my first foray into satellite radio, so I was very unfamiliar with what worked with what.In any event, I saw that some people left reviews on this page stating that this system worked witht their Onyx (only 1 said it didn't work). So I took the leap and bought it.First of all, it arrived the NEXT DAY. I used super saver shipping and it still came the next day. Secondly, it is an XM product, which I hadn't expected. Thirdly, it works perfectly.I set it up at home and connected it to my Sony surround sound receiver via an AUX cable (just like I always have for my IPOD) and it worked like a charm. The next day I took it to the office where I plugged it into the outlet and used headphones, and again, no issues at all.Great item and an even better price.... I couldn't have asked for more.

The Xpress Home Kit provides a convenient way to connect your Xpress receiver to an audio system without loss of sound quality. The retail price of $59.99 is insanely high for any dock, but if you can find it for 40 percent off, that's more reasonable. My only complaint is that the receiver does not feel secure enough in the dock to press buttons without placing a few fingers behind the unit. This isn't a big deal, however, if your receiver came with a remote control. Otherwise it's just a minor inconvenience.

Bought this so we could move our Onyx radio between the stereo in the family room and the one attached to the outdoor speakers on our Deck. It works as well, if not even better, than the one we bought when we first got the radio. I think the reception doesn't seem to drop as often with this one as it did with the OEM model when installed in the same location.

Works with the XM Onyx even though it isn't listed on the product description. The antenna they give you in this kit (or in any other XM brand home kit) isn't as good as the one you would use for your car (the circular one). Since I don't have a southern facing window in my apartment, I wasn't able to get signal. Luckily, I used to have a Sirius radio years ago and the car antenna from that one fits into the home dock and provides much better signal. I have it in an western facing window and I get full signal most of the time. So, if you have an extra car antenna laying around, I suggest trying that in your house instead of the one provided.

I had the Xpressrc home kit installed in a few minutes, I have the antenna facing south about 3 ft. from the window and it works good. The only BAD thing is the short audio cable, If it where my company I would have been embarrassed to have shipped something so useless, yet you have to have it. The cable reaches from the back of my receiver and to front with about 4 inches left, it is NOT long enough if you keep your components in a cabinet. For the price of this you would think perhaps a 6ft. cable is not to much to ask for. Over all to expensive for what you get, but you have to have it if you want to use it inside. Again no problem with amazon, shipped fast with great service!

This product gets excellent reception and requires an additional cord if you have an auxiliary input in a stereo system.It is for the home only, unless you have a standard plug-in in your car like I do. It does not come with the cigarette lighter cord. The antenna cord is plenty long and the base is exactly the same as my audiovox car kit, so I can keep one base in my car and the other in my house.

This item works well and is a great way to maximize your XM Radio subscription. However, the lead in wire should be longer since the antenna node must be placed outside of the house free from any obstructions to work properly.Talus is a great seller to work with.
