What does a mixer actually do and can it enhance sound reproduction?

This mixer here is a basic mixer two channel and it basically will play anything that you plug into it I.E. turntables, computer, CD players, tape deck, musical instruments etc. You can fade between Channel 1 and channel 2. Other than the three Channel EQ that each channel has there really isn't any extra enhancement that this mixer or many other mixers provide.

Is it compatible with virutial dj 8 if so how dobi hook it up
