GUITAR ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC TETON

The guitar is awesome, it is my first guitar purchase and I am super happy with it. I had been borrowing a friends guitar to learn on and it was not the greatest, I really enjoy playing this guitar it really makes a difference.

I bought this guitar at my local music store almost exactly a year ago. I remember playing one chord and falling in love with the way it sounded. The combination of the solid mahogany back and sides and solid cedar top creates a tone that is surprisingly rich and also surprisingly loud. The neck fits perfectly in my hands (which are fairly average sized). In spite of everything this guitar has going for it, the battery compartment for the guitar's Fishman preamp is the only major flaw I have noticed. On my guitar which is only a year old, the battery spontaneously springs out when I'm playing sometimes. Other times (when the battery isn't trying to escape) the door to the battery compartment buzzes when I play certain notes. If Teton decided to move the compartment to the top side of the guitar instead of the bottom side (much like on Yamaha acoustic electric guitars) I'm assuming it would help to eliminate this issue. All in all, I wouldn't trade this guitar for the world. It plays just as good as any Taylor that I have ever played, without the outrageous price tag.

Have owned this guitar for a week. Very light, but gorgeous ringing sound, and plays excellent, as good or better than guitars priced twice or three times as much.
