EcoGear FX Emergency Vehicle LED Safety Flashlight EM70 - Multi-Function Light with Magnetic Base, 3 Light Modes, Great Work Light for Men

I have been really impressed with this EcoGear FX Emergency Vehicle Flashlight. We keep it in our truck, because things always seem to go sideways when it is pitch black outside! The flashlight is a pretty good size. It is also water resistant which is great for me because we get a lot of rain where I live. In addition, it is also shock resistant. Which is also very important because when I am using it out in the elements, I don’t want to have to worry about what would happen to it if it slips out of my hand and onto the road (which happened to me with another flashlight and it completely busted after one drop). The flashlight also has a magnetic base so you can attach it to any metal surface to free up your hands. I gave this a try, and it definitely has a good hold to it. I wasn’t sure if the magnetic part was large enough to hold up the entire light, but sure enough it did without any problems. The batteries were not included, but it just takes three AAA ones, and it will be good to go. Overall I was very pleased with this item, and I would recommend it to others! I think this is a necessary item for everyone to have in their vehicle! Trust me, you don’t want to be trying to change a flat in the middle of the night without one! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review.

Great unit.I want to clarify some of the specs. It uses 3x AAA batteries, and they are laterally mounted. You cannot substitute for a rechargeable 3.7V 18650 unit like you can for many other 3x AAA flashlights. The reason is that the battery compartment is squeezed behind the LED surface. This limits this unit somewhat, I would have preferred to make the base thicker and allow a 18650 unit, maybe even two. I would also have put some external power port, which would be nice for an emergency light. If it had 5 V in you could use a USB solar charger. Overall I think that a strict limit to 3 wimpy AAAs might not be the best solution here.It is still a clear 5-star. Good functionality, good quality. Switch works as expected with none of those surprise-flashing-mode nonsense that I have seen with so many other lights.

Liked it as a safety light to keep in the car and as a walking light when I take the dog out at night. Bought three more so each car has one, but the price has gone up from 9.99 to 11.99.... to who knows what it is today. There is such thing as price elasticity of demand. UPDATE ... on-off switch doesn't work consistently. Stuck in the ON position. returning to Amazon.

We live in a somewhat secluded area with almost no night lighting other than mother nature and are subject to power outages during storms. After buying the first light on a whim and seeing how good it was we purchased more. We have one in each of our night stands and at the front and back doors. The special effects lights have not been needed by us but I can see where they could be essential in some cases

I bought this flashlight for a camping trip. I tested it when it came in, and it worked great. Two days later, I pulled it out of my backpack and was unable to turn it on because the button had shifted. I attempted to move the button back, but it came apart (a plastic and a rubber piece fell off). The flashlight is useless now.

I ordered two of these, reason being I owned one as these,.same design..different brand...a copy...replacements ...but only one fully operational. The main beam LED very dim...all the other LEDs worked...side beams, red flashing LEDs. Basing 5 stars on 1 operational flashlight...Returned using Amazons outstanding return policy. A lot of work for our delivery person..as we live well off the beaten path in hills of E Ky. Reboxed and printed a label, ...seems another method..ECOGear just send another operational flashlight, most all buyers are honest...

Very handy light, very bright, versatile. The magnet on the end works very well when I'm working on my car.One problem that could have been pretty major if I hadn't been able to fix it. After about the 10th use, the power button sort of slid away into the body of the flashlight...and I'm not a gorilla when using flashlights, electronics, etc., pretty much normal use. There's a rubber cover, then a plastic spacer, then the actual power button in on the circuit board. The plastic spacer slid under the metal tube body, so the button was no longer useable. Had to seriously dismantle the flashlight to get the parts back where they belong. Hoping it doesn't happen again.Overall, a cautious recommend...probably would not recommend at all if it was any more expensive.

I keep something like this in my cars. I had a more expensive competitor (Nebo) whose seller supplied batteries corroded the flashlight and now is dead. This one is cheaper and has just about the same functions. Can't last less than the more expensive product. We'll see.
