Woodwork to Art if you do the following...
I use these for woodworking.....or staining. I DID use them for my ARTWORK at first BUT if you do then:1. Open package and take them ALL out.2. Place them ALL in the dishwasher, yes dishwasher, for a spin in the utencil carriage.LEAVE OFF ALL DRYING HEAT CYCLES. VERY IMPORTANT!!3. Hang them up to dry...(I used a drill with a drill bit to make holes and I strung leather through these holes. I helps them dry faster OR use floral "foam" or base to stab/jab them in and sit this on its side all together or upside down if you can find a way)4. After COMPLETELY drying bend the bristles ever which way possible. I beat on mine like Bob Ross did to dry his BIG brush to use again straight away.5. In doing all this...you SHOULD have no issues with bristles releasing so often.AGAIN, PLEASE BE ADVISED TO TURN OFF ANY HEATED DRYING IN DISHWASHER!!These are rough bristled brushes...not drastically rough but good bending tough bristles. Wide brushes art used for my ART and small brushes are used for stain on wood.PERFECT FOR STAINING WOOD!!

Great variety, quality and price, fave oil painting brushes
I bought these for oil painting on canvas and absolutely love them. Great price for a really nice variety and quantity of sizes. I've been using them regularly for about 6 months with minimal hairs falling out, but at this price, even with a hair or two coming out, I wouldn't complain. I've had hairs pop out on expensive brushes too. I get some beautiful smooth effects painting wet on wet with these, the smallest ones are great for stippling. I'm surprised at how many people consider them to be "one time use only"! Based upon the past 6 months, I expect to be using these for a long time!

cheap china hair brushes
Yeah they will "shed" especially if you use them aggressively. I just "comb them out" if that will be an issue. Made from real china (NOT Chinese) bristle hog hair. All natural. They are great for gluing and applying tung oil and beeswax emulsion (beeswax + D Limonene). I usually can get more than one use out of a brush but hey, they are very inexpensive and are designed to be used and tossed. They make great basting brushes and spreading mayo or soft butter...uses are endless. As far as cleaning up for cooking or wood finish uses I put dish soap directly on the bristle and massage until it lathers good and then rinse with hot water. The food service brushes are kept in saran wrap or ziplock. Might be better to use wax paper because all plastics leach synthetic estrogen compounds that contribute to cancer and birth defects. I am too old to be concerned about that now though.

Great for the price.
I use these in my studio for oil painting and for inexpensive, synthetic bristle brushes, they work great!I have a lot of expensive bristle brushes but these are great for applying gessos, mediums and paints for wet on wet painting. Great for blending, doing landscapes, applying highlights. You can't lose for this many brushes at such a low price.

Great For Cooking
Since these are natural natural pig bristles when oiling a hot pan that with olive oil they do not melt.
