Want to love this light, but condensation gives me pause.
Right up front I want to love this light and give it 5 stars. This light has an awesome black background that blends in nicely with my Iron 883 Sportster. Once installed it is INSANE how bright this light is and how much light it shows down road! During the night I can see so much more than with the stock light, it isn't even funny. When you see the amount of light it shines and how much you can see at night, you realize it's a shame that H-D doesn't install their Day Makers as stock for pure safety reasons. The great thing about this light is that it is everything you want out of a super bright LED headlight and without the H-D tax (the infamous markup).Okay, now for the not so good stuff. The install was way more difficult than it should have been for me. The old H-D light came out easily enough. The issue with this light is that it comes with a cord to plug into the stock hook-ups. The stock light fits extremely snug into the light's housing and there isn't much room in there for anything at all, let alone a cord and a plug! It is nice that it a plug-and-play light and you don't have to hardwire the light. But at the same time, I had so much trouble getting the light to sit right in the housing. Needless to say, it took me almost an hour of being extremely patient and taking [anger] breaks until I finally had that thing seated in the housing. Once finally seated in the housing it looks great and performs amazing! I have a buddy that ordered this light at around the same time and I received and installed mine a few days early. He said he had none of the problems that I experienced and it took him like 10 minutes. So maybe it's just me.The real reason I gave this light 4 stars and not 5 is the attached picture. The very first ride in the early morning in Ohio (not a very humid place mid summer) and the lens fogged up. I don't know why it is doing this but it is extremely annoying. The only saving grace is that later on in the day when it warmed up, the fog disappeared. That and the light is a fraction of the price of the actual H-D Day Maker.

Nice bright light
A lot of reviews show what the light looks like on a bike or the beam pointed at a wall 5 feet away and you just dont get a good sense of the beam pattern or how well it lights up in front of you. Which is what i wanted to know and just took a chance on.Fortunatly i was pleasantly surprised at how much this lights up. I dont have pics comparing stock to this light because my bike had a cheap led on it when i bought it. But i'm satisfied how much this lights up things in front of me while riding. When you get away from urban areas and overhead lighting it really becomes apparent how well this works. Its a nice bright white light. In the pics it looks like all the light is pushed further out in front of you but while riding i have no problems seeing things closer to the front tire either.Daytime riding, it also makes the bike more noticeable to people in front of you.It installed easily and i havent had any issues with overheating or condensation. No flickering. Its definitely a big improvement for very little money and i'd buy it again.

lens has NOT fogged up
this was a good choice for my 2006 sportster, very easy plug and play, plenty of room in the headlight bucket, not an issue at all. the only wire in the bucket is for the headlightyou must use the sealing ring around the original light to get the new light to fit in the bucket and that ring has a front and back, it only works one way, pay attention to how it is on the original lightNOTE..... you must use some kind of spacer with the sealing ring on the original light there is a rubber piece that has 4 fingers that reach to the ring and sit under it giving a little vibration dampening and a tight seal, without the rubber the light isn't tight in the bucketi chose to NO to cut up the harley seal and used a bit of rubber gasket material about 1/4 in sq. i then super glued it to the ring (this is easier than you might think)then i placed the light with the sealing ring in place into the bucketit took a little finesse to get the chrome ring back around the light, but it was a tight seal and works as well as the factory set up______________________________________________________________________________________________________it took several tries to get the headlight aimed just right, until i got the aim proper i was thinking the light was less than i wanted it to be and was disappointed .when i got the proper aim the light really lit up the road, i hadn't used high beam to this point, when you hit the switch to high beam you go holy crap.... it is a flamethrowerso yea i am thinking this was a major step up from the existing light, .it didn't come alive until i had proper aim. i would have written a different review if i hadn't of taken the time to get it just right. i have it adjusted just a tad farther out than you might think it should be, still not shining into the eyes of on coming traffic but right at the edgei live here in the mountains of western nc, . this light makes a huge difference while going through the twisties at night.the brightness of the light is very white, when you pass cars the light washes out their lights where they shine on the pavement....................................there is a negative, while riding during the day it is harder for other traffic to see your headlight, i think maybe because of the directionality of the ledsi was told that by several people i ride with. it all but disappears in someones rear view mirrorso it may be easier to see a regular light over one of these, we all know how 4 wheelers need all the help they can get to see us
