Humble Bee330 Ventilated Beekeeping Jacket with Round Veil

What HumbleBee did right:-The suit material seems to be a really good quality.-The ventilation works well.-Seaming and stitching is top notch.-Those zippers glide like butter.-The carry bag is decent, though not very useful if you don't travel.-The elastic is strong throughout the suit, giving a secure feeling.-The thumb straps are wide and comfortable.What HumbleBee can improve on:-The veil diameter is small. Substantially smaller than any other suit I've used. This allows the cloth mesh to easily contact the ears, nose, neck, and back of the head while working bees (even with a baseball cap on underneath). I had to purchase a balaclava to protect myself.-The veil mesh itself is pretty thin. This is great for visibility, but it doesn't feel like it's going to hold up long term.Overall, I'm happy with this jacket. This is the first vented jacket I have tried and I can say it makes a world of difference in the Florida heat. I love how easy the brass zippers operate... I never have to fight them like the plastic ones I have tried before. If only the veil was a little bigger in diameter to keep the fabric mesh away from my face, this would be the perfect jacket.I tried to find a way to contact the company before posting this review but was unable to do so via the Amazon interface. Perhaps I'm just daft.

The jacket is well made and well ventilated. No stings through any part of the jacket, but the veil is terrible. Do not get the round veil. Every time I turn my head or bend over to work a hive, the mesh is so weak it collapses and it touches my face and ears. I was stung about 10 times in the face in just one day.

I've had this jacket for 9 months. The mesh in the veil has started cracking. There are 5-6 holes in the veil. The jacket is no longer useable. I would recommend that you look for another jacket as this product is defective and does not hold up. Amended: Humble Bee has offered and is sending a replacement. If your veil has problems, they might be willing to replace it.

I did a lot of research before my purchase and I read each review on this jacket. I used my jacket for the first time on Saturday and it was absolutely amazing. I'm new in this arena of bee keeping and was a little hesitant on whether or not the vented jacket was worth the extra money. You can trust me on this one....it does make a tremendous difference. Well pleased with my purchase. I normally wear an x-large and the jacket is true to fit. I would purchase again...You'll not be disappointed...

I am a professional beekeeper, used to wearing the Mann lake ventilated full suits recently switched to this half suit.I had this half suit for roughly 3 weeks now and the only thing I don't like about it is the veil but I've never liked the round veils. I do wish there was mesh on the bottom of the veil.The jacket itself is light and has ventilation in the right spots, I'm definitely gonna wear this to pull honey this summer.

Really nice quality jacket/hat. I thought it was thick good quality fabric. All pockets and zippers are pretty heavy duty and the fit was just right according the size chart.

Living in South Mississippi, wearing beekeeping gear for the summer months can be brutal. This jacket, although great protection, makes summer beekeeping tolerable!

Great ventilation. We've been beekeepers for years and typically use full suits but I wanted something for quick "get into them" days. The only reason this jacket is getting a 4 star instead of 5 is that it's a little small/short both in the waist and arm length. I'm only 5' 8" and not typically an XL but a L and this barely fits.

Die ansonsten sehr gut gearbeitete Jacke bietet guten Schutz und ist Leicht und sehr Atmungsaktiv.Leider bricht bei unserer Jacke jetzt das Kopfgitter an verschiedenen Stellen auf, was bedeutet, das kein Schutz mehr gegeben ist und Bienen in das innere gelangen.Schade... wir warten noch auf die Rückmeldung des Herstellers.Der Hersteller sendete ein Ersatzgittereinheit zu, welches leicht zu ersetzen war.Wir berichtigen daher unsere Bewertung des Anbieters entsprechend.

Ob man einen Schutz braucht oder nicht, muss jeder selber wissen. Die Jacke ist sehr leicht uns sicher. Passt wie angegeben. Nicht größer bestellen! Es passt auch noch ein Pulli darunter. Das Gitter ist hochwertig und das Sichtfeld perfekt. Verarbeitung der Jacke incl. der Reißverschlüsse ohne Beanstandung. Diese Jacke hält sicher länger und ist ihr Geld wert!

La veste tient bien aux hanches - Tissu plus épais que certaine combinaison - Excellent système d'aération - le chapeau tient bien en place - bonne vision - rien à redire pour le moment
