A concern or two but it does what it claims extremely well. (Edit: Got two more. found an issue)
I've been using this thing for about a week and am genuinely impressed. It seems that whoever designed it actually put some thought into it. Kudos to whoever that was. Before I go into further detail, I want to mention that the main reason I chose this remote because it has removable batteries (very important to me), is backlit, and has keyboard/mouse pointer support. Also know that I'm using this remote with a Linux based system; i.e I cannot comment on any features/functionality/buttons specific to windows 11 HTPC. Other than a few win11 centric buttons that don't work with linux, everything else works perfectly.First, the good parts: - Removable batteries: Takes 2 Normal AAA batteries as advertised. - Mouse functionality: It's no wii remote, but that's understandable given that it works without a lightbar (a good thing IMO). it works well enough for casual use. The pointer is stable and can be moved precisely (doesn't jitter when held still). - Keyboard functionality: Compact layout, identical to the one shown on here. The keyboard behaves like a normal PC keyboard. e.g. pressing Ctrl+Alt+T brings up the terminal like usual. - IR remote: works as stated in the manual that came with the remote. No complaints. The surprising (also good) parts: - Automatically disables the bottom side of the remote: The remote senses which side of the remote is facing upwards and turns off the other side (disables keys, turns off the backlight). - Automatically resumes mouse mode when you flip the remote to use the keyboard: Mouse mode is usually toggled (i.e you turn it on, use it, then turn it off when you're done) but it can be automatically suspended and resumed when you flip the remote when mouse mode is active. Now for my concerns and criticisms: - No scroll functionality as far as I can tell. They never advertised this so this is more like something I wish they included. - No information about waterproofing: I already spilled a small amount of water (droplets) on it but I don't know how it will handle a larger amount. They never advertised this so this isn't something I'm going to hold against them. - Nothing mentioned about security on their amazon page or in the manual: Most big-name manufactures use strong encryption to protect passwords, credit-card numbers, social security numbers when your key presses are sent from your keyboard to your PC. I've asked the seller about this but haven't heard back from them. I will edit this review if they do reply. - Missing keys. Page up, Page Down, Home, and End keys are missing from the remote as far as I can tell (not available with the Fn key). They did not advertise this so I wont hold it against them. Conclusion:All in all, I'm very, very impressed with this product overall - so much so that I intend to buy another one as a backup in about a month (already in my amazon cart, will wait to see if other issues pop up first). It's clear that thought and care was put into its design. My only real concern is that of security. However, since I'm only using this to control my HTPC, the security of my key presses is not really a concern for me. So this product gets a 5/5 from me.---After a few months of moderate use, the remote held up petty well. Noticed no issues except that the 'N' keyboard button will not work unless I press down on it with considerably more force than any of the other buttons. The button works, but I thought this was something worth mentioning.

FANTASTIC REMOTE CONTROL FOR A COMPUTER!!!!!
I just got this remote and absolutely love it so far! I love the dedicated button for turning the mouse fly on and off. When watching programs I don't have to worry about moving the remote and having the picture disturbed. I place the mouse pointer where I want and turn off the mouse fly function. Now I can pick up the remote and play, pause, rewind, fast forward, adjust the volume, turn on or off subtitles, cycle subtitles, and so much more without having the picture disturbed. Absolutely fantastic option that I wish all remotes had. A previous poster complained that there is no mute function. Just press M on the keyboard on the remote and it mutes or unmutes. What do you know? It does have a mute button! I use my TV remote for my TV. Not sure why some people are complaining about having to set it up to work with your TV when that is not even needed. It lets me use my computer like a TV which is exactly what I wanted. Another person complained about it being too small. This remote is bigger then my TV remote but not as big as my cable box remote. It hits the sweet middle spot. Keys are pretty much where you would expect them to be for playing, pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding and what not. So no problems finding the functions you want. Also it does light up for easily using it in the dark. I also love the dedicated windows buttons that let you easily access most of your windows 10 functions. In fact this remote is a whole lot easier to use with windows 10 then my windows 10 keyboard is. Another plus is that this remote does turn my computer on and off. No more having to get out of bed in the middle of the night to hit the power button on my desktop before going to sleep. Or waking up in the middle of the night and crawling out of bed to turn my desktop off because the cat accidently hit the power button on it while exploring. For everything this remote does, the low price you pay for it is very much worth it. Basically if you are looking for a media center remote for you computer that also doubles as a keyboard, then this is probably the remote for you.
