Too low voice
The voice is too low to hear unless you keep the device on your ear! Use a phone would be better

Great audio only monitor
Very good monitor. Really easy to set up and for on-going use. If you don't want to spend money on expensive video monitors then this is the one for you.The sound is really clear and has a green light to let you know if the sound is really loud such as crying, coughing, sneezing etc. You can still hear normal sounds like if they are trying to talk or shuffling but the light won't come on. Only downside is the volume doesn't go too loud but loud enough for you to be aware if there is unrest with baby. I have 2 babies and can make out the difference between the 2 via the monitor -good sound quality,.The parent monitor is compact, light and if charged can be wireless too. It could fit in a normal jean/trouser pocket. Its not intrusive and can be carried anywhere. The range is fantastic and you don't need to be in the same room, or even floor, to pair the child/parent devices. When pairing, the child unit has a small non-introsive light to indicate that the pairing is successful. The battery lasts for quite a while too, maybe 24-72 hours on constant usage before it needs charging depending on how much noise your baby makes. My advice is to put the monitor within a 50-70 cms of the baby to get the best quality. I tried it within 1m and it still works but doesn't pick up all sounds.Overall, its a great no-frills baby monitor. I would definitely recommend.

A nice piece of equipment
We actually bought this to support the care of a sick adult. The child unit is mains powered which makes sense as the transmitter will use more power than the receiver and it running out of power is a critical issue. The microphone sensitivity is excellent and we can clearly hear what's going on in the room even with the unit not ideally located. It also doesn't pick up the nearby mattress pump which is ideal. The parent unit is battery powered but can run on mains and recharge the supplied batteries at the same time.Sound quality is excellent with a digital signal perfectly audible from the other end of the house. It will also beep at you if you go out of range. The speaker isn't massively loud. Plenty to be heard in a quiet room but you may miss things if you are doing other jobs at the same time.Absolutely trivial to set up, good looking build quality and while it is clearly a baby monitor if you look at it, it's understated and doesn't look embarrassing to adult eyes.

Good price but performance could be improved
Got this because it was 220v. The Vtech was far superior when it comes to the sound clarity and performance. Unfortunately, it was 110v and can’t keep a converter running for safety reasons. All in all its a standard quality. Doesn’t catch or alert you when baby has woken up and is fussing. You can only hear when they’re crying aloud even if you bring the baby unit close to the crib. If you hear loud fussing, you usually have to bring the parent unit to your ear to confirm it & barely while having a conversation at the dinner table. I’d say it might for an older child maybe an 8 month old or so. Keep in mind mine is 2 months old at the moment.
