Sheaffer"Taranis Stormy Night" Chrome Trim Medium Nib Fountain Pen

The pen just arrived, and I was anxious to fill and begin using. I had purchased Schaeffer blue-black ink to use with this pen, and I just was awaiting the pen's arrival. The filling with the converter that was already installed. was very easy, and the writing was immediate. What I was struck by was how smooth it was immediately. The weight is a little more than I am used to, but I liked the substantial feel. I like a little more fullness to the pen, and this sized grip works very well for me. The box in which it arrived was heavy, providing really good protection, and there was included a pair of Schaeffer cartridges, one blue and one black. I prefer to use the converter, and this one drew the ink to a full reservoir.I'm learning about pens writing "wet," and I don't know how to describe this one except that the flow was immediate, clear and was very quick to dry. I think it's a very good choice since I've wanted a nice Schaeffer since my high school cartridge pen. I think I've found it in a very modestly priced pen, and I find the smoothness remarkable.My initial response is that I'm very pleased/satisfied with my purchase, and the seller filled the order immediately, with a day earlier arrival than anticipated. Very good purchase.

Eventhough packaging was damaged , the pen is really good. Smooth writing . Medium nib . But when the cap is placed over it while writing, the paint tends to erode.

Haven't used a fountain pen in years so thought I'd treat myself and give it a go. Now i can't stop using it. There is something magical about the smooth action of the fountain pen and the way the ink flows onto the paper yet, call me a heretic, I bought it first and foremost for it's looks and probably it's name! - Although I did read many reviews before I took the plunge :)

The pen I received was in good order and did write correctly. I only got one refill and I'm pretty sure it said 2. My main problem was that there was no paperwork with the pen. No instructions on how to fill or clean the pen or if there was a guarantee with the pen. I emailed the company and explained this to them. They apologized for the situation and gave me the pen on a complimentary basis. I was disappointed but I think it was just a genuine mistake on their part.

Its a sheaffer product - but performance is average. In fact I have better writing pen from other not so famous companies. So it seems I paid the price of a brand and not for a good product.I at least expected a lifetime warranty - got a 3 yr warranty instead.
