Options Trading, Simplified This is not your typical options trading book, plagued with jargon and written by Wall Street academics who are more concerned with showing off than with actually teaching you how to trade. In Options Trading QuickStart Guide, ClydeBank Finance packages the wisdom of the Wall Street elite into a straight-forward and easy-to-read teaching tool. Options Trading QuickStart Guide is ClydeBank Finance at its best, making complex ideas clear while endowing readers with a wealth of powerful new knowledge. Whether you’re a newcomer to options trading or a grizzled veteran looking for a fresh take on basic strategy, you’ll enjoy the plain-spoken style and colorful scenarios illustrated in Options Trading QuickStart Guide . In addition to providing a solid beginner’s course in options trading, Options Trading QuickStart Guide walks you through a multitude of strategic trading decisions, showing you how a trader thinks and how he arrives at critical decisions. This book wasn’t written for someone who wants to stay on the sidelines, but for the ambitious trader looking to become a formidable, sharp, and cunning options trader. You'll Learn: The fundamentals of put and call options. How to understand and leverage intrinsic value How to use a stock’s IV (implied volatility) to inform smart trades What you need to know about “The Greeks.” The mechanics of the short sell Scroll Up To The Top Of The Page And Click The Orange "Buy Now" Icon On The Right Side Right Now! Review: Great book! - Options Trading: Quickstart Guide is like many of the books by this publisher, a quick no nonsense primer with a lot of information packed into an easy to read book. Unlike other books in the Quickstart series, this one does not have the table of contents links up in the kindle interface. A moderate drawback as I tend to go there in order to make quick jumps around in the text. There is still a table of contents, it's just at the beginning of the book in hyperlink format. So if you want to jump around, you'll first have to go there and then jump from that to what you are looking for. The six chapters in this book are: Chapter 1 - Options Basics Chapter 2 - Call and Put Options - Trading Fundamentals Chapter 3 - A Sound Options Strategy for a Beginner Chapter 4 - Key Influencers On the Price of Options Chapter 5 - Win at Options By Speaking Greek Chapter 6 - Popular Options Strategies Plus of course an introduction and conclusions section as well as a glossary and references. I have some stock experience but nothing really with stock options. This book gives an excellent basis to work from. I particularly like the many scenarios that are worked out throughout the text. All the online and regular old school offline investment firms like Ameritrade, Fidelity, etc offer relatively easy ways to get into stock options, but if you don't know what you are doing it's going to end in sadness, much sadness. Most of these brokerages offer some online training in all stock trading in general but also options trading and there are third party websites like dough that have training courses. I would suggest going through this book first as it will definitely impart all the basic knowledge you need to determine if this is even something that would interest you at all. There's no sense in jumping into detailed training on something that may not float your boat, on the other hand if it is something you're interested in, it's better to get a good foundation to learn from before jumping into the deep murky waters with intensive training. This books hits the sweet spot of imparting enough to give you a clue but not so much as to overwhelm you. I have acquired this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my fair and honest review. I take this very seriously, as I like many of you rely on these reviews when making purchases. Nothing has been asked of me other than to give an honest review of the product, and as you can see from my review history it has no effect on my opinion. As others have pointed out I would recommend that you don’t just look at the ratings on these reviews, focus on the reasoning behind the ratings as that will give you much more insight into the product. The reviewer may be looking at the product for an entirely different use or from an entirely different perspective than you are. If this review has helped you to make a decision please hit the Yes button below. Thanks! Review: Good to learn the basics - It's not bad at all if you're just getting started into options. Its an easy read under 1.5 hours. Most of the info here can be found easily online but, I like to have the book near me when trading sometimes to reference some basic fundamentals to options. I would say this is worth your money if you're just wanting to get your feet wet and understand the basics to options. The visualizations on some of the trades could be done better. There are other books out there that contain all the info here and much more but, this is more of a quick summary on options. No advanced strategies are mentioned in the book.

Great Book For Newbies
I was looking for absolute beginners guide to options trading. This book filled that need. It is logically laid out, well written, and doesn’t have a ton of Wall St voodoo that a beginner would get lost with. As with any endeavor I like to build a solid foundation and then after having gained some understanding expand from that point. This book is an excellent starting point for that foundation.

Seemed to jump into strategies too quickly
Hard to judge without having read other options trading books, but the example on trading McDonalds options seemed extremely complex just to understand, let alone execute. Didn't feel like a beginner book.

Options Trading Quick Start GuideBook
Book was written for a beginner. After reading and then attending a seminar the concept on trading was enlightening. Option trading is different from Stock trading. A person need to understand basic technical analysis and how to read a stock chart to track trends. Options is not something you learn overnight. It is a process and the language in trading options need to be deeply implanted within the mind. I love the challenge!

Great Book for Beginners - Easy to read and lots of good information
This was a fantastic book for the person who has never done any options trading. It provides very basic information about definitions of terms and the basic strategies. The book is short enough to read in a day and is easy to understand. I keep this book handy and particular pages tabbed to use as a reference when I read other books or am doing research on my options trading for practice. Still haven't perfected it - yet! :)

Highly recommended if you can read extremely small prints
This book is very well written: concise (90 pages) and light to hold, easy to understand. I had experience in stock trading but not in options. I became able trade options after reading this book once. I don't mind to give 5 stars to that extent. One problem, though, is that the option tables with bunch of numbers are printed in very very small print, which I could not read by naked eyes. In fact, I could read only by enlarging 1.5 times using a copy machine.

A nice little book to get started
I am not a native-English speaker but I found this first book very interesting to get started. Several chapters detail what options are, buy a call, buy a put, sell a call, sell a put, selling a covered call, and presenting briefly other advanced strategies.
