It's NOT a fake! The V30 is legitimate!
Given how cheap this card was, I find it hard to believe it's not a fake. But believe it or not, this card is as real as it gets. Here's a quick summary of my experience with the card:I paid less than $40 CAN for a 256GB microSD card. That makes this by far the cheapest microSD card you can buy per GB of storage. The A1 rating is a little misleading. The Amazon Select brand is actually a rebranded Samsung Evo which gets around 90MB/s transfer speeds with fairly good random reads/writes. The V30 is roughly equivalent to the EVO except that its random reads/writes are slightly better but its sustained reads/writes are probably a little worse. Overall, this card was substantially cheaper than the EVO.I tested the card out and wrote about 238GB of data to it. The data wrote perfectly, which means this card is not fake. This is a pretty good card for app management on your smartphone or for your camera. The price makes it unbeatable.

Didn’t work with my GoPro Hero 10
I bought this to go in my GoPro Hero 10, I always thought as long as it’s the same write speed it would work, how wrong was I. Fitted the sd card and it said no sd card , tried to format it and it didn’t work, returned and got a refund, I don’t know if I was just unlucky and got a dodgy card but if it doesn’t work it’s no good for me.

Brilliant for a large music collection
Over the years I've had several Micro SD cards of varying sizes to store my on the go music collection on and have always ended up needing a larger capacity card. So, after much searching and comparing of cards, I found this excellent little card by Patriot at a very reasonable price. As soon as I received it I downloaded my 213GB music collection onto it, which took about an 90 minutes (very reasonable) without any problems at all. The card works perfectly with my FiiO X1 II gen player. The only downside is that although this card is advertised as having 256GB capacity, it actually only has 232GB of space, which is a bit annoying. Overall, if you are looking for a large capacity media card at a reasonable price, then give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

looks legit, couldn't reach the claimed write speeds
Arrived in perfect order, looks original. Unluckily at least on the atom netbook to which it has been destined it could never reach not even 50% of the speed - while copying big files the most I could see was between 30 and 40 MB/s. Still, could be due to the controller and to the speed of the tiny internal SSD I was copying from, couldn't test it against other devices.

Second faulty one in a row.
I can’t get this card to work. I popped it my Sony NW-A45 DAP and it wasn’t recognised. Tried to format it but, without it being recognised, I didn’t have the option. So, I removed it and tried it in my laptop. Ditto. Same with my Samsung Note 9. I can only assume it is faulty. That said, this is my second one in a row which hasn’t worked. Take from that what you will. I shall not be wasting my money on a third....
