You will need a mono 1/4 to 1/4 cord to plug the tuner into your guitar.

Q: How well does this tune a low B string on a bass?

I assume it does tune a low B accurately. Even though I never used for that purpose. It tunes all my four-string basses just fine.

Q: can you tune an autoharp with this tuner?

It is not meant for that. It Tunes E, A, D, G & B. You should look for a Chromatic Tuner.
