Worked Great!
I ordered GM PN 9354886. At first I thought I ordered the wrong part however. When installing the new knob it did not fit then I realised the little metal collar from the old knob was still on the shaft. I used a 90 seal pick and easily pulled it off and the new knob slipped right on.So if you try and install the knob make sure you remove the old metal collar from the shaft before getting frustrated like I did. This is on my mothers 2004 GMC Yukon and the knob has been missing for many years.

Perfect replacement
I found this to be a perfect replacement for the knob that had broken. The new knob is a 'GM' part. Looks exactly like the original. I did read in the reviews about the metal collar. I needed this for my 2003 Silverado, Bose system. When the original knob broke, I found the metal collar still on the 'D' shaft, simply removed it. The new knob had a metal collar, so knob just pushed right on to the 'D' shaft. Very easy.

Remove the metal sleeve inside the knob
The used 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 I bought was missing the Audio/Tone knob. As purchased, this knob didn't fit. Used a drill bit (by hand) and needle nose pliers to remove the metal sleeve inside the knob. Now it fits and works and looks like original equipment.

no instructions how to make it fit
I had to remove a small metal piece to make it fit that I did not know about.

Removed metal sleeve
2003 GMC Yukon SLT Bose Radio. The knob fit after taking out a small metal sleeve inside. I think the chance of requiring the removal of a sleeve should be mentioned in the description. Covered the metal post but not 100% as firm as the original knob. But for 7 bucks and a knob replacement on a 10+ year old vehicle.... not so bad. 4 stars.

metal insert may need to be removed.
I had to remove a metal insert inside the knob so it would fit, but it seems to be working fine.

Modified to fit 2006 Mini Cooper
I removed the metal sleeve in the knob and drilled out it out with a 3/16 bit but discovered that my radio also had a sleeve on the dial post. Before drilling out the know you may want to check to see if your radio dial post has a removable sleeve. I think it would have fit without drilling by removing that and the one in the knob.

Fits... Somewhat...
Bought this for my 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche after breaking my radio knob. This knob fits and matches my other two knobs but it doesn't go all the way to the back. Nonetheless, I forced it in and I'm pleased as it doesn't fall off and works.
