WüsthofClassic 6" Chef's Knife, Black, Stainless Steel

Was after a German style knife with a hollow edge which is surprisingly hard to come by. This one ticks all the boxes that I was after. It's a heavy blade, but not cumbersome and is very comfortable to use. Also holds it's edge very well. As with all Wusthof blades, it's pricey, but it's worth the investment if you're using it on the regular.

Just what I expect from this premiere knife manfacturer, balanced and comfortable in the hand and sharp. Happy to recommend to anyone serious about their kitchen equipment. On the price, well you get what you pay for... cheap knives are never a good idea, so pay that little extra and get quality.

As a keen home cook I decided to invest in a couple of good knives, I was not disappointed, this knife is excellent, it is a good size, very sharp, not too heavy and the hollow ground edge helps prevent items sticking to the blade.It is expensive but should last for years if sharpened occasionally. (I have owned it a few months, I use it every day and it is still sharp).

Was looking forward to owning a decent knife and the positive reviews inspired me to go for the Wusthof 20 cm Cooks Knife . Now weather this was a fake i cant be certain but the tip of the knife did not look right . The tip did not have a point on it and was quite flat it also was unevenly ground and looked like some young apprentice had bodged it. For such a expensive knife where is the quality control
