Kiscords new “EZ-Twist child safety cabinet lock for knobs” are perfect for child proofing cabinets that have side-by-side knobs (these will not work on straight/closed handles). Since introducing our best selling original cord lock over 5 years ago, we have continually sought to improve our products and give our customers the best child safety solutions possible. We listened to our customer feedback (both positive and negative) and used that information to design a more perfect cabinet lock. Our new baby safety cabinet latch has all the features that parents love about our original cord design, and eliminates the things they didn’t. The new patent pending EZ-Twist design is so simple to use. Just tighten the cap to lock it, and loosen the cap about ½ turn to unlock. It’s that simple! These new baby safety locks are the only locks that can grow with your child. Even if you child ever figures out how to open them, all you need to do is use your “super parent” strength to make them tighter. We have tested these cabinet locks on children up to 6 years old and they still can’t get them open (but you can!). Our new child safety latch is ergonomically designed and intuitive to use. You don’t need to be a contortionist to use our product. They go on in seconds and remove easily with only one hand. Plus, they won’t slip, break, or scratch your cabinets. They are so small you can take them anywhere, and the cords can be easily cut and shortened for aesthetics and safety. Baby proofing is temporary. Have you every thought about what could happen to your expensive cabinet doors when you try to remove an adhesive that’s been stuck to the paint or finish for a few years? And do you really want to use a drill? EZ-Twist locks require no drilling or adhesive. They are the perfect solution for childproofing your kitchen, bathroom, or other rooms or furniture with doors that have side-by-side knobs.

Well made but didn't work for us, neat product.
Was looking all around for baby proofing that wouldn't require hardware. These are a great solution, and I feel a little bad about only giving 3 stars, but the reason is that the string that hangs down is too long for me to feel safe. They do recommend trimming the string, so they are safety minded, but I found that I couldn't cut the string short enough to be able to release the string and open the cabinet, you just need the length to get the knobs apart. I'm still teetering between a 3 and 4 star, because they are clever and well made, but for the knob pull, I just didn't like how long the string needs to be to open the cabinet, feels unsafe.

Good concept - but annoying to use
These little cords do the job without any screw holes or adhesive - perfect idea for grandparents who only occasionally host their grandchildren. They are great for keeping cabinet doors closed and children safe. However, they also keep adults out of the cabinets. The cords do not stretch, so if they are installed correctly, one must use both hands to unscrew the knob to open the cabinet. I found them too annoying and went back to my thick rubber bands around the knobs.

Perfect for our cabinets! Finally a simple solution that works.
These are exactly what I was looking for! My 13 month old LOVES to get into my kitchen cabinets and these help keep her out of them. My cabinet knobs are only about 5 inches apart and these work great. I noticed a few people comment on how long the string is, but keep in mind that you can shorten them very easily. Just slide up the plastic piece at the bottom, tie a knot up higher and then cut off the excess string. And there you go! The knob is also very easy to use. Just twist it a little bit to loosen it and then slide it down. Don't unscrew it all the way, it is is totally unneeded.

Stylish, customizeable & highly functional
Bought these with our cats in mind, but also to address privacy concerns. These work great for keeping our curious kittens out of cabinets, and are perfect for feeding time as well! I have one hanging from both sides of a french door, so we can "lock" the doors to the front of our home from either side. They look nice, fit well (highly adjustable), and perform just as expected!I wanted them to dangle a bit less, so I simply tied a knot higher in the string and trimmed the excess. Recommend melting the end to prevent fraying. (I used a lighter for this ...cordSmoke!)

Not exactly the easiest of locks to use. It ...
Not exactly the easiest of locks to use. It takes some finessing to lock, and then after that there is still enough play in the strings to allow the cabinets to open slightly allowing children to get leverage on forcing the cabinets open.

WORKS AS SHOWN IN VIDEO
I originally posted my disappointment with the product. I am writing a new review because the product WORKS AS DESCRIBED and shown in the video. I have to say the customer service was amazing! The owner called when they read my review. From time to time one of the locks doesn't get threaded correctly, so be sure to try all of them. If you have one that doesn't work, compare it to one that does. It is very easy to rethread the rope. If you can't, the owners are more than happy to send another. Great Customer Service with this product!

Great for cabinets and some vanities
We have a variety of child safety products in our house and unfortunately there is no ONE product that does it all but that's just because each house is different and the hardware used varies. We found these cords to be exactly what we needed for a couple bathroom vanities. It's difficult to grasp without having it in hand but you essentially pull the cord to tighten then lock it in place. To loosen, you have to first unlock it. It's actually very clever.I would recommend this product for installations like ours.

Does the job as a quick solution when toddlers visit
Does the job for a toddler visiting grandparents... inexpensive for the job, easy to install and remove when the visit is done. Flexible installation allowed securing multiple kinds of cabinets quickly. Can't judge as a long-term solution, but works fine for short-term and a curious toddler.
