Great basic mount
I purchased this a while back and have been very happy with the mount. It was kind of difficult the first time I put it up, but most of that difficulty was my learning curve. Once I had it mounted on the wall, it worked great with my TV, providing a solid and secure base. I have moved a few times now, and each time the removal and set up have been quick and reliable. I later bought a large articulating arm that I mounted in masonry, but prefer the simplicity of this mount.

Solid Mount!
Wanted to add my voice here since a lot of people are confused by the tilt lock mechanism of the mount - it actually works very well, and allows you to adjust the tilt without removing the TV, as advertised. Once mounted, there are two screws on ether side that lock down your tilt angle. Because they also have molded handles on the ends, they cannot swivel 360 degrees, but fear not, pulling this molded handle allows you to swivel it around like a socket wrench without turning the screw, so you can ratchet down these tilt lock screws. Makes sense once you see it, but trust - this thing works fine!Overall this mount is great, relatively easy to install and use, and it's very solid once secured into a stud. You can place the TV anywhere along the stand (left-right), which helps if your hanging location isn't centered over studs.I am knocking off 1 star because my TV mount showed up scratched all to hell - specifically it looked very much like another customer (probably someone who commented here!) could not figure out the tilt lock screws described above, and got a little angry :). Bad move to box it up and send it back out, but it's just cosmetic damage so I'm not too upset.

Sturdy, Made Well
This product seems to be made very well. It is all heavy metal and seems to hold my 50 inch TV with ease. Although it says it can only hold up to 60 inches, I don't see why it couldn't hold more. It can certainly handle the weight and it is plenty wide enough to accommodate a large TV.Edit Update:I just got a new Samsung 65 inch tv. As the description reads this mount should only work up to a 60, but it fits the 65 inch perfectly. The weight isn't an issue because this mount is EXTREMELY sturdy. The only issue would be the size of the mounts on the back, they were big enough for the 65, possibly even a 70. Much bigger and the mounting holes will likely be too short.

Typical Peerless Quality
I have bought several Peerless mounts over the years and have now become accustomed to receiving products which work and are a joy to install. This mount has been the same as the others.Simply put, you get everything you need in the box. Plenty of hardware to work with different mounting situations whether going into wood studs, masonary, or what have you. Clear instructions. And though it will never be seen while mounted on the wall, every edge has been rounded and the finish is well done. There are some cons to this mount which I will bring up: it is expensive. Yes, you get a lot, but you are paying for it (but think of what your time and ultimately sanity for not having to run to the hardware store mid-installation are worth it's time to get the job done). The other ding I have is with the tilt which seemed to offer limited movement in the "up" direction if you are mounting your television low. The mount does not allow for a truly plumb adjustmuent, but this was ultimately okay for my installation of a 47" TV mounted 39" above the floor.Bottom line: buy it and it will be easy to install and do the job well.

For your information
Those who are trying hard to figure out how to assemble this thing--MOSTLY TRYING TO TILT THE THING!--should calm down and relax. Don't worry. It tilts. It works. You don't have to remove or force anything. You see, I had a problem with the tilting mechanism, too. It seemed like one or two of the bolts that were locking the angle position would simply not let me tilt. I thought the bracket was permanently locked unless I should remove something (which I thought, very unlikely). So, I called the Peerless customer service to ask if I need to remove one of pressure-attached bolts to make it move. The answer was, no. In fact, I must not remove any of the bolts--they are very important for pivoting motion. They explained that the device is "pre-tensioned," which means I cannot change the angle by my bare hands until I completely install everything on the wall; i.e. the mechanism is built very tough, and I should use the weight of TV to tilt it up and down. Hmmmm... I was first suspicious. Okay, TV's really heavy, but in my opinion, a regular adult male should be able to do the same. The Peerless answered no-don't-even-try, but we did, it didn't work... and then, voila!!! It really tilted when we installed everything on the wall and slightly pressed it down. Unbelievable, but it really happened.Based on some of the previous reviews, I agree that the manual is not in detail enough and installation process can be quite hideous in the end (if you really want to lock every bolt in--you would need a long driver and have a hard time to screw them back in). Fortunately, the Peerless provides a decent customer service, and you can easily get help and solve the problem.I also agree that this is one hell of sturdy device. My only issue here was that the lack of details in manual and the tilting mechanism which was a pain in a butt in the beginning and in the end. If it was a little more convenient to play around, I could give 5 stars.
