Election Season
Volume 15 of Komi Can't Communicate continues the story of Shoko Komi, the shy high school student, and her longstanding quest to make 100 friends. This particular volume contains chapters 196 to 207 of the story. Most of the volume's story is taken up by the election of a new class president and a new character who is running for that position, Kiyoko Isagi. As with the previous volumes of this series, I found that the artwork is pretty well done here with many detailed backgrounds and expressive characters.I thought that the storyline chosen for this volume was interesting as a new character is introduced and her own storyline of running for class president and how the already established characters get involved. Isagi may not have the same type of communication issues that Komi is known for, but she still needs help if she wants to be class president. It is an entertaining aside with some of the usual humorous shenanigans that this series is know for. I do have to admit, though this volume is definitely enjoyable, it also felt like the main story has been shoved to the side. The relationships between the main characters, especially between Tadano and Komi, really does not progress any.I liked this volume. If you have been enjoying this series so far, you will likely enjoy this installment.

A new character, the Iron Woman! And now, time to vote for school president.
Komi, Tadano, and Rumiko (does it seem like it's always these three together?) Get wrangled into helping a germaphobe run for school president. Najimi helps, too. The germaphobe eventully wins, with the help of Komi, and Ase, Little-Miss-Sweats-Alot (who is the germaphobe's childhood friend), both of whom rouse (in different ways) the entire school to vote for the Iron Woman. Later, we ge a peek of Rumiko alone in her bedroom, and wow, does she have a SERIOUS crush on Tadano! He certainly could do worse. Rumiko is super hot, and really nice (when she wants to be). However, she, too, pales in comparison to the Silent Princess, aka Komi. Later, a bunch of random people from both Komi's class and her brother's class are invited to their house for supper by Komi's Mother. Tadano's sister, ever the overly observant (and crafty) one quickly realizes that both Komi AND Rumiko have a crush on Tadano. I'm sure there will be hijinks down the road when Tadano's sis tries to play matchmaker. After it's said and done, a good time is indeed had by all.

Awesome series
This is one of the best manga series on the market. Even though it's a "rom-com", it treats Komi's social anxiety with great care, never making fun of it. The humor is almost always focused on other characters; when it's focused on Komi, it's usually in her reactions to the other characters or the situation, not on her social anxiety.

Mr. Oda has managed to give us another fun book.
Komi's classmate is running for Student Council. Can Komi and Tadano help her, in spite of her extremely fastidious nature? And does another one of their classmates have a secret crush on Tadano? The answer to both is "probably", but you'll have to get the book to find out.

The excellent manga series just keeps getting better.
Komi's getting better at expressing herself, but she still tends to stress out over talking to strangers, and her very standoffish classmate Kiyoko isn't making it any easier. Still, Kiyoko needs a campaign manager to help her run for class president, and who better than the enormously popular Komi?

Great series
Great series, I'd recommend with the recent printing shortages to pre-order the upcoming copies before they go up by 2-4USD. Great manga series for the price otherwise.

Great mix of everything that makes this series compelling
This is definitely one of if not the best volumes of this series, if only because it’s able to perfectly bounce between wholesome and funny while even addressing some more serious themes. It’s underpinned by the introduction of a new character and a student council election but isn’t afraid to break away from that to focus on some of the other characters, particularly Rumiko who has a stand out arc this volume. Translation is of excellent quality, though I do find in one instance where review scores are presented the English characters obscure the numbers in a way the original Japanese text did not.
