Q: How warm is it, do i need to layer? ideally i plan on wearing an all green top and bottom christmas eve while i steal my towns christmas.

I've been using this every weekend for the last 3 months (dec-feb) in Boston area for hiking. At the start of the hike when temp is in low 20's use this top and a thin polyester fitting sweater, after an hour of hike and as temp approaches 30, I remove the sweater, and hike in just this base layer for the next 3 hours. Still have to remove my backpack cause my back is too hot/sweating. I have also used to $50 meriwool mid weight base layer and did not find any difference in warmth, but Tesla is softer to the skin

Q: Whats the difference between heatlock, heat core, winter gear?

Seems like the heatlock and heat core are the same. They're a one color shirt but have the micro fleece lining, it's just one is a one shirt sale while the other is two shirts. The heat control is two materials, a micro fleece lining on the torso while the arms are a warmth and wicking material
