Needed a new power supply for a medical ECG machine as the one supplied with the unit had failed. I'm sure the company supplying the machine would have charged an arm and a leg for a replacement, so I picked this one and it worked straight out of the box and for a very reasonable price too.It's versatile with a selection of plugs for various equipment and I bought another 'just in case', so I can cover any eventuality. Just make sure that the 12V that this supplies is suitable for the replacement that you need otherwise you could end up destroying your equipment.

I needed a PSU with quite a high current rating, but not too large for an LED camera light. It was also critical that it had a 2.5mm socket not the usual 2.1mm found on most 'bricks'. This fitted the bill in all respects. I have had it running my LED light drawing 1.8 amps for over an hour. Not only does it cope well it doesn't get very warm either.

Nothing to dislike particularly. We are unable to assess whether or not it will last as long as the original adapter which has lasted more than 5 years.

I recently installed a satellite dish and Satview box for my elderly parents, worked great until 2 days later mum hoovered behind the tv unit snatching the power lead from the Satbox and entangled it round the hoover, shredding all the wires from the power connector, somehow the story got twisted and it all became my dads fought, (If you're married you know exactly what I mean!). Trying to buy a replacement was a nightmare, the supplier of the Satbox did not sell them unless you brought the whole unit, and we not paying another £125. Looked at a replacement on Amazon, it looked the correct size and spec but did not fit as it had a very small pin in the center of the connector, this we returned, then I saw the advert for this version with multiple interchangeable tips, we ordered and it came the next day, very fast. With so many different tips it was easy to find the correct one, plug it in and the Satbox powered up straight away. Money well spent, very happy parents + this time I cable tied the trailing leads off the floor. Looking around we checked what else the spare tips could be used with, this included a security camera for the front window, a battery charger, and an old handheld electronic game from my childhood that eats batteries, and a decorative side table lamp. With so many choices of tips, it looks like there is a solution for any of your power needs.

great adapter. works well. would be 4/5 but bumped up a star due to the brand name. great conversation piece.

I have two SHNITPWR adapters and both work great. This one is quite slim for a 36W power supply and works as advertised. My only nitpick is that power cord is quite short. Works for my application, but some people might need an extension.

I still dont like the thin plastic cable that breaks after a while!
