Smittybilt GEN 2 XRC Winch | 9,500 Pound Load Capacity

This is a sturdy piece of equipment. Installed it on an offroad bumper on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JKU.Haven't had to use it yet so comments are strictly about setup and installation.If this is your first time with a winch, remember that it weighs all of its claimed 77 lbs. I bought this one because as far as I am concerned there are really only two recreational winch manufacturers out there and Smittybilt is one of em.PROS1) Easy to install to an aftermarket bumper (see notes under CONS).2) Fits perfectly on 10 inch by 4.5 inch holes.3) Wiring diagram and colour coded terminals made the connections mindless to complete.CONS1) Instructions are useless. Should simply state to install all wires on the bench as well as the control module before installing on the bumper.2) Positive cable could have been 6 inches to a foot longer for terminating to the battery to have a neat installation.3) The side mount bracket for the control module was approximately 1/2 inch too short to use (which is how I wanted it mounted). I had to mount it above the tow cables. To me this is a quality assurance issue.

Very easy to install, very clear wiring instructions.There are a few different options as to how to mount the controller box,to the winch which was nice.

Se ve increible, y funciona bien, aun no eh tenido chance de meterle estres, lo cale con freno de mano el motor encendido y colocando un tronco bloqueando las llantas traseras de mi jeep CJ5, sin problemas lo arrastro 10 metros, apenas se puso tibio tal ves por que esta sobrado de fuerza para mover mi jeep.Solo espero la oportunidad de ponerlo a prueba...

Had the same model on 2 previous Jeep Wranglers over 6 years of service and was still working great. Bought a new vehicle and decided it was time for a new winch! Casual user for overlanding, weekend trails and back roads.

Oredered the winch came in 5 days ....easy install with great info on instalation and wiring !! a sexy winch ! highly recomended !
