This was a good buy. Fit like the original one on a light fixture in our dining room. Didn’t know if this would fit but it worked great and fit like it was made for my light.

Needed it to hold a shade for a ceiling light bulb fixture. It worked.

We have a bathroom vanity light that had broken and this saved us from having to buy two new vanities! It attaches the glass piece that goes over the bulb. Home Depot and Lowe’s did not have it. So grateful to find on Amazon!

Better than the factory originals that came in the light fixture. Can't go wrong with this two pack at a fair price.

There appear to be two sizes of these shade retainer rings that on Amazon have identical descriptions. The difference is about 1/16" - not obvious until you try to install it and find that it is too loose to grip well. I found that the correct size has ten tabs around the perimeter and the larger has eight. The tool described below in another review is for ten tabs and fits this product. For the medium base light sockets in my house with outside threads, this product worked perfectly. I made the mistake of first ordering one of the other similar products on Amazon.

The way the picture looks, it seems like your getting two, but that's not the case. So don't be fooled your only getting one per pack....make sure you read the details.

Finally found this product and solved the problem of the globes falling off the socket and onto the bulbs. This socket retaining ring is very well crafted and is superior to the ones that originally came with my light fixtures. I will now buy more to replace the other rings on the light. Recommend.
