And you thought it was just a period?
Wished I read this book 25 years ago when I started my cycle! We all like to travel to foreign countries and learn new languages, yet we aren't familiar with our 'own country' and what our body is communicating with us. Fix your period is the perfect guide to learn about what your period and hormones are telling you and work thoroughly on a healthy foundation to shine through life. Let's talk period!

Don’t let the title mislead you
While everything you learn in this book will help you fix your period, the information goes far beyond that. It allows you to create optimal hormone health with a proven program that is reasonable to implement. You’ll be guided in a manageable way to balance your blood sugar, reduce hormone symptoms, and create a foundation of health that will serve you as you move through perimenopause and menopause. I highly recommend this book.I am so grateful I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy and delighted to have written the forward.

She GETS it! But on the anti gluten bandwagon
For years I have struggled with period issues that were just dismissed by my doctors. I knew something wasn’t right and I talked to everyone I knew (even some acquaintances) in hopes of finding something, ANYTHING, that gave the answers I was so desperately looking for about my extremely regular pre-ovulation spotting and crazy mood swings. What drove me most crazy was doctors just dismissing me and not even bothering to listen. When Nicole’s book first came out in 2020 I was so excited that it sounded like the place where my answers were, but I waited to buy her book because I got pregnant that same month 😀 Now in 2022, after a wonderful, healthy pregnancy that honestly felt way better than my regular cycles, my periods have gone all over the place and been giving me trouble again. So I decided to finally get this book. I love it that she validates us women so much and has real explanations for what is/was happening in my body. I love it that in the dietary section she does say that everyone is so unique and no one diet is right for everyone. My one issue with the book is that then she goes on to talk about how no one should ever eat gluten and makes it seem like you are doomed if you ever do. Agree or not, this doesn’t allow much room for the individuality she talks about earlier in the book! Everyone is different. I know that I personally react much more to corn than gluten and brown rice and quinoa both give me stomach aches, so I personally choose to avoid quinoa and brown rice completely and limit corn. She generally does give you a lot of good ideas of what TO eat, rather than just what not to eat, so I feel like the whole totally anti-gluten, fearful thing is a bit out of place in her book (I know plenty of people who may eat “gluten free” but that doesn’t mean their diet is actually nutritious!) I wish she had just left it as “try without for a little while and see if you feel better” and made it more like her section on dairy with helpful information about less inflaming options. This whole journey has really taught me how to listen to my own body & instincts more rather than relying so heavily on what “experts” say. I feel like most of what I read in this book really honors this and honors women so much! I highly, highly recommend this book to anyone with period issues! They are real and you don’t have to live continue living with them!

this... changes everything
My bestfriend who happens to be a women's PT has been harassing me to get this book forever and I was like eww no im not getting a weird book about Aunt Flo, im just going to keep coming to you for all my questions thanks.BUT after a winter of feeling sluggish and bleh and noticing that my PMS mood swings were affecting my relationship, I started searching for answers - a lot of which were leading to maybe needing supplements, maybe looking at a FODMAP diet... after probing my friend again she said OMG GET THE FREAKIN BOOK!And ill tell you I am not a good reader, im slow and I get distracted. Today... I opened this book and read almost 100 pages. and if the book hadn't stressed the importance of a good nights sleep, I might just stay up to keep reading because IM SO EXCITED to learn more about the six week program. This book has changed everything I thought I knew about the menstrual cycle. No one ever told me what birth control actually does, a doctor just slapped it on my "bad cramps" diagnosis as a teen. And I am mad that this book wasn't around 20 years ago to educate me. But its so much more, its about your wellness as a whole. and stress management. and understanding the intricate workings of your body.Again - the book says sleep well so you're lucky I don't have time to write ten more paragraphs about how excited I am about a book I have barely read 100 pages of.Bottom line... get this book. get it for yourself. get it for your girlfriends. get it for your daughters, your nieces, your granddaughter... spread the good freakin news!

Folks with uteruses should read this
This book is so insightful, informative, and went into way more detail than biology class ever did. It also helped me receive an endo diagnosis, which was a major plus!

DIVE ALL IN !!!
This woman is THE go to human being for getting your period back into alignment. She clearly did a lot of heavy research to back everything that she is explaining and suggesting in this book. I have been undergoing a treatment with an orthomolecular doctor, whereby he has been helping me with my hormones as well as other needed elements that interact with the hormones so I could bleed less as well as no longer have any pains. Nicole's book came to my attention after having been several months into this treatment with my doctor. Nicole's book finally explained to me in a language that I understand, as I am not a doctor, and my doctors explanations of his approach are too far fetched for my mind. Through Nicole's writing I have finally understood the intricate connections in our body, the environment around us, which includes eating habits, and how together it all impacts our cycle. As well as everything I need to DO to live and maintain that alignment in my daily life. Nicole thank you SO MUCH for this book you have put together, it's life changing to have access to this information. I recommend this to everyone who has a female body and wishes to find long standing alignment with their physical health.
