Atlantis

This book is actually a compendium of verbatim readings giving by the great psychic, Edgar Cayce, over the course of his career on the subject of Atlantis, something which is fascinating to us all. I had never read verbatim readings by Edgar Cayce before reading this book. This book therefore told me how difficult it was to make sense of the readings given by Edgar Cayce, although it was not impossible as the readings are logically consistent. This book is therefore not for everyone. In trance, Edgar Cayce's expressions of his thoughts via his language skills were far more complex and exacting that the typical 20th century writings of our time, which is why I believe many people would not understand him who pick up this book. For instance, someone today who is used to "tweets" on Twitter, would most likely have no idea what Edgar Cayce was saying in these readings as his sentences of complete thoughts being much longer than a "tweet" would strain that individuals imagination. But if you do read this book, you will be forced to expand you reading comphrension ability and memory in order to understand what is being said and you may possible learn a great deal. Because I have read numerous other books based on the Cayce readings, I had a good foundation with which to understand his readings and what was being said. This book gives you perhaps the best view of Atlantis, being only once removed from the source of the information, but requires much thought to understand what is being said. The best book ever written about Atlantis, in my opinion, was written by Edgar Evans Cayce and edited by Hugh Lynn Cayce, both sons of Edgar Cayce, and is called "Edgar Cayce on Atlantis". In this book, his sons deconvolute the readings for you and present the information in a more logical, organized way such as most people are used to receiving data.

This book has been an aspiration for me to learn as much as possible. It has filled in many blanks that i didn't think id ever have filled.

Firstly, this is a very dry read. It is simply a collection of Cayce's channellings about Atlantis. It is delivered in the archaic verbatim well-known to Cayce. It does not come with any interpretation - which was what I was looking for. So you may NOT enjoy this at all if you are wishing for some descriptive or diagnostic commentary.It was however, what I wanted. Cayce's readings without censorship or filters. I enjoyed it very much but it's really not for everyone.

Most of this consists of direct transcripts from the readings given by Cayce. As Cayce spoke in the language of the King James" bible it takes a little longer to read but this is not all bad as you need the time to understand it. It is up to you to ascertain the meaning. This doesn't detract from the fact that it still makes fascinating reading. The book is not that long and I have already read it through twice but I am having a rest from it at the moment and will go back to it at a future date as with each read you glean more facts.Carol

I'm pretty apprehesive about so called prophets and soothsayers! I try to live my liife according to the Bible and all Jesus teachings. It's hard to dot that with all the programming on TV radio computers smart phones and tablets. But this man was lead by God and the holy ghost. How could anyone without the Holy Spirit leading him could do all this? Always be discerning if you don't feel right about this. It is a very good read. But I challenge all people to read this. It will open eyes!

What a fascinating read. It takes concentration cause it is written as Edgar Cayce spoke it in a trance state. Anyone who is a fan of E C is well aware of how he channeled readings. Atlantis is such a compelling subject and with the current findings in Egypt relating to the Book of Records, I found the readings give remarkable insights. I would love to have an aura chart created for me by Edgar Cayce as I am today. Check out chapter 6!

Didn't arrive on time but 3 days later. Well wrapped and beautiful condition. Love everything by Cayce so delved in straight away. A fascinating read.

This is the most wonderful book I have read over the past few years! Amazing stuff for the independently-thinking researchers and non-researchers alike. Lots of food for your curious brain...
