Great hitting mat. I really hit down on the ball and it does not leave any scratches or residue on the club. The only complaint I have it that is sits a good 2" above your feet. It took we about 10 bad shots to realize that the height was throwing me off. I dug out a spot for it and am now on the same level with the ball. If you are going to use this off of a deck then you might want to get one large enough to stand on the same striking surface. I have hit close to 3,000 shots off of this mat and there are absolutely no signs of wear. I do not leave it out in the elements so no comment on how it holds up through monsoons, snow, or natural disasters. Remember to pick up the 1lb object and carry it indoors. My guess is that I will be replacing my practice balls before this mat. I have attached a pic of my mats current condition. I have 200 range balls that I hit through a couple of times a week, and I have had this mat for 5 months. Remember I really hit down on the ball

I received the mat today and it is a great mat. I am using the mat with foam practice balls in my apartment. I wish it came with a couple of the tees (different lengths); but others can be purchased separately. I like practicing daily but I cannot always make it to the driving range. I recommend this mat for those who want to take advantage of daily practice in the convenience of your home.

I love this mat. It is heavy, sturdy, and takes everything you can give it. The "grass" is very realistic and feels good when using my irons. I was concerned the mat would slide around when hitting balls, but that is not the case. Its' hard rubber backing is very heavy and keeps it from moving. I have recommended this mat to my friends.

This mat came with "Tips to make your golf mat last a very long time". The tip was to hit off the tee every time. This concerned me making me feel that the mat will not hold up if hitting off the turf. Sure enough after the mat was sitting in the sun the glue holding the turf to the mat started getting soft. The turf started to wrinkle and come up. I have not used the turf section with irons a whole lot but it looks like the turf is coming up and this mat will not last.

Still holding up after several months. Scoots a little on grass. Use as directed on solid surface.

Good buy!! I thrash it well each day.

Holds up well; moves a bit with iron use

This product came with a note that cautions against hitting ball off of the mat without laying the mat on a hard surface of piece of wood. Basically you can't lay on the ground and hit ball off of the mat without damaging the mat fibers. Can't be too heavy duty.
