Absolutely delighted with this cookbook
Absolutely delighted with this cookbook, as we had to go gluten/dairy/egg free due to my baby developing eczema. Looking through the book I am excited to get started. I'm a follower of her blog, so I've been using some of her recipes for a while. They are amazing! Tried and true. But asking my husband to go to a blog site to pick out recipes is like asking a 2 year old to rood a house. After flipping through this book myself and seeing so many new recipes that I can't wait to try, I presented this book to my husband. He seemed as excited as I am!I would definitely recommend this book to anyone living gf & df.

A surprisingly wide selection of recipes that fits such restrictive diets
This book is quite large, it has 283 pages and it hits the middle ground between healthier foods and semi-indulgent meals and desserts while keeping the ingredients as minimally processed as possible (I like that there is no refined sugar, corn syrup or stuff like that! ). It also has notes and suggestions on what ingredients can be swapped out, storage suggestions and marking of the recipe whether is gluten free, dairy free, whole30, paleo or vegan. I also like there are several gluten free flour mixes that can be used in other recipes including a grain free option. Note: The breads are all based on gluten free starter, which is fine for me since I'm allergic to store-bought yeast. Overall - I'm satisfied!

Cooking healthy food
Learning how to bake and cook without typical foods like dairy and wheat or even without eggs may seem overwhelming at first. But when you have someone with food sensitivities and allergies to cook for, you stop going to restaurants, ordering take-out, and buying boxed foods, you start cooking form scratch at home. If you really need to avoid processed ingredients this book really helps you avoid all those additives found in packaged foods. There is no xanthan gum (or any other gums), GMO refined starches, corn syrup or even white sugar!

Cookbook
I love the focus on real whole foods, some recipes are really simple and some are more sophisticated (gluten free baking is not easy in general) for when you have time! There are lots of recipes broken into sections (breakfast, main, appetizers, salads, sauces, desserts and beverages) and easy to follow. There are video tutorials for a few recipes on the Healthy Taste of Life YouTube channel or on her website.

Complicated recipes with too many ingredients
Zero stars. I was looking for simple, healthy recipes. These recipes are mostly junk food made with so-called clean ingredients, but not really. All recipes have a ridiculous amount of ingredients. Looking through, there's not a single recipe I'd like to try.
