Sturdy but flawed
I need a drop-hitch to tow my jeep with my Class-C motorhome. I use a tow bar (Blue Ox) and need the tow bar to be near level. Because the jeep stands tall, i need the drop hitch to be inverted and rise the receiver up about 6”. This hitch doesnt work and I needed to buy one directly from the US-based tow bar company, Roadmaster. This hitch, imported from a Chinese-based manufacturer, has a hitch stabilizer bolt. When the bolt hole is drilled and threaded, that process appears to have very slightly collapsed that side of the receiver. The result is that the tow bar can only be inserted up to about where the hole is tapped. You might be able to use other towing accessories with this hitch but if you are intending to use a tow bar produced by the likes of Roadmaster or Blue Ox, their tow bars are true 2” diameters and this hitch will probably not accommodate it. I bought two of these imported drop hitches and both had precisely the same problem. The Roadmaster drop hitch doesnt have a stabilizer bolt so an aftermarket stabilizer must be used. Additionally, the Roadmaster hitch I purchased actually states a 6,000lb tow capacity where capacity is not called out on this imported hitch. The price difference between the two are negligible so I would recommend you save time and just get the hitch from Roadmaster.

Strong
Very well made heavy duty. Beautiful welds
Q**Z
Good extender/riser
Product looks very sturdy with the way it was welded together. A locking pin was included which was a plus since I needed one anyway.
