I had anticipated receiving this filter only to find circular swirl patterns in all my night photos. Not sure if I received a bad filter. Unusable.

I was a bit dubious about this filter, but for the price, I thought it was worth a shot. If you look at the two photos - there is a noticeable difference. Both were shot with the same setup - but the first was shot with the filter, the second without. These were just quick test shots on a very cold evening, so I didn't so much experimentation (Canon eos 70d, canon 10 - 18mm zoom lens) 10mm, f22, 120 seconds. I'm happy with this filter, it seems a good value for the cost.

I've used this for star shots in a dark location and on city streets on a rainy night. It seems to cut some of the color cast from man-made lights. Filter is well made. Nothing fancy, but worthwhiole.

This made a noticeable difference in star photographs from my highly light polluted back yard.
