Zefal Spy Bicycle Mirror Black

Nice small convex mirror, which you can install anywhere (some limitations). My bike grips do not have the end caps, and I don't want to have mirrors looking like antennas. This mirror meets my needs except quality of convex mirror (little bit distorted like the one in haunted house). You can see your rear clearly, but little wobbly. This might be due to its oval shape. Main objective is to see whether you are safe to maneuver, and this offers the rear view. Installation is easy with rubber strap, and adjustment is breeze (easy to adjust its postion for optimal view). Before using this, please make sure to remove protection film so that the view is less wobbly. Overall, great rear view mirror with a rubber strap. Safe Riding!!!

I bought this to replace one purchased over 10 years ago. The mirror isn't a real mirror, the image a bit distorted BUT it works fine for seeing what is behind you. This does not vibrate, as other mirrors I have tried did (the vibration makes the mirror useless). This mirror has NO vibration as you ride, so it works well to accomplish a couple of goals: keeping you safe so you can see behind you AND easy to install. I have 2 for each handle. The one I used for over 10 years was replaced because the "mirror" tarnished a bit. This is a good value for the money, it will last years!

It does get the job done for urban riding. I have it mounted on my end bars. Pros: -lightweight -no tools required for installation -discrete, but functional -inexpensive -easily adjustable -numerous mounting options Cons: -no tools for installation mean theft also requires no tools... -I often have to readjust it while riding because it moves around too easily. I will need to install something (like a rubber ring) around the inner part of the bracket to prevent this from happening when I'm actually moving. -the mirror component looks super cheap... but it is clear enough to see traffic behind me. Overall good bang for your buck.

Update: I’ve now used the mirror on a bike ride. Pro: placement is easy, and flexible. If you stretch the band, the mount is solid. The smallness of the mirror is somewhat offset by its curvature with a relatively wide view. Con: you will have to frequently adjust it during a ride, even on a relatively smooth road. The movement is not where you mount it on the bike (if you mount it solidly), but where the mirror attaches to the bracket. The adjustments are minor, but will be necessary. The smallness of the mirror exacerbates this issue. Bottom line: will likely work fine for me. Not very expensive, but also a bit overpriced for what it is. Original review: The mirror is tiny. A bit bigger than a helmet mirror, but smaller than I expected. Yes, I know the dimensions are right on the page where I ordered it. The size may work out ok. I haven’t tested it yet, but I’ve installed it. I’m skeptical it will stay on very well. But we’ll see.

This bike mirror is great! It stays put and doesn't keep needing adjustment. Despite its small size, it gives me a view of the two traffic lanes behind me, which is all I need. My previous mirror was constantly slipping out of position on the handlebars, even though the mounting bolts were screwed down tight. And I couldn't adjust it up or down, only side to side. The Zefal Spy rotates in every direction and straps onto many different places on the handlebars of my Dutch-style bike.

I recently switched from drop bars to bullhorn bars. I love it! I always rode the front of my bars, and never had the leverage I wanted, and my thumbs were always smooshed against the brake handle. Bullhorn (or Pursuit) bars are 500% better for me. I stay tall in my bike; have great leverage; and don't have to move my hand position between pedalling hard, or breaking. The only thing I miss about my old dip bars is the mirror on the end of the bar. It's been impossible to find a mirror that either doesn't fit the end of a handlebar, or doesn't have an arm. I've never liked mirrors that extend away from the point of attachment. They always vibrate when I'm riding at any decent speed, which is exactly when I need them. This mirror fits my bullhorn bars, and is the most adequate I've found so far. I do wish it had a little more mirror surface area. I use mirrors because I commute in city traffic, and they help me stay aware of available space when I need to dodge a car door, a front bumper prarie-dogging out of a driveway or underground parking lot. If it was maybe 50% larger, this would be a 5 star review. I say that; but then I hate when I've had to replace handlebar mirrors I thought I'd love because I bump them with my knees. These are a size that make them functional and not in my way. The other change that would make this a 5 star review, would be a permanent mount. I don't like the rubber band that holds them in place. It makes then too easy to steal. I'm not willing to remove them every time I go into a building. I've used duct tape to make them less theft-friendly. It's fine. Consider these two issues half a star each. I really do like these mirrors. They sit at the same spot in my line of sight as the old mirrors (just a few inches higher). I feel much safer.

I bought one of these mirrors to try out and ended up buying 2 more for my other bikes. You get a wide field of view for such a small mirror, but of course the image is smaller. But if you are looking for cars coming up from the rear the image is plenty big enough. I mounted all 3 mirrors on bike handlebars. I still have a large helmet mounted mirror that also use, but I let other folks ride my bikes and they don't have helmet mounted mirrors. I find myself looking at this Zefal mirror most of the time. Installs in seconds. Highly recommend it.

Perfect mirror for my needs, which is a mirror to use on multiple bikes. It can get any easier than this to remove in a second and pop it on another bike. Overall it does what it needs to in giving me some sense of what's going on behind me. I mainly wanted it to see car traffic. It's not a perfectly clear view, but it sure beats having nothing. It holds the position fairly well, although on some rides I have to tweak it a few times, but that's not a big deal to me, especially at this price point. I also like the smaller profile - it fits in nicely on the handlebars and isn't obtrusive.

I sometimes bike long distances to work and this has been useful especially when I'm riding on big roads. I like how this can be placed in different parts of the bike.

Se puede colocar en distintos diámetros de tubos gracias al amarre de goma con muchas posiciones. El amarre no es rígido por lo que ante golpes en vez de romperse simplemente se mueve y eso tiene fácil remedio. El espejo es pequeño pero es lo que buscaba, algo que me permitiese ver sin que su tamaño fuera excesivo. Al ser un espejo convexo la imagen es menor y aparenta estar más lejos de lo que en realidad está, lo que es normal en este tipo de espejos. Perfecto para lo que lo quería, lo volvería a comprar.

5,4 x 4,3 cm klein. Für Fitnessbike gerade richtig um eine sportliche Note zu behalten. Da der Spiegel etwas vergrößert ist die Sicht noch ausreichend. Durch den Gummispanner wackelt oder zittert der Spiegel auch auf Katzenkopfpflaster nicht. Der Gummi könnte etwas robuster sein. Hab einen kleinen Gummi zusätzlich zur Sicherung angebracht. Verstellbarkeit ist filigran (mm Sache) aber geht gut. Einzige logische Anbringung ist am Bar End, alles andere führt zu nichts. Passt an den recht dicken Ergon Bar End's. Ohne Spiegel wußte man gar nicht was hinter einem los ist , jetzt sehe ich wenigstens ob die Straße frei ist. Somit kann ich zur Anschaffung raten. Für 5 Sterne reicht es nicht , dazu müßte die Gummihalterung stabiler sein. Für ein gut reicht es aber allemal. Nachtrag: Nach 2 Wochen Nutzung erhöhe ich auf volle Punktzahl u. 5 Sterne. Das kleine Ding hat sich viel besser bewährt als erwartet. Sicht nach hinten ist ausgezeichnet. Absolut kein wackeln oder zittern auch auf schlechter Straße nicht. Wirklich sehr gut. Rad ist umgekippt und voll auf den Spiegel gefallen, nichts abgebrochen oder kaputt am Spiegel. Der Spiegel der das aushält muß sehr Robust sein !!
