Dianna Ross Is Mediocre by Herself
I liked Dianna Ross when she sung with "The Supremes" as their lead singer, but her vocal range isn't enough for me without good back-ups. "The Supremes" had a sound & they had writers, Dianna Ross, to me, is just another voice on the Juke Box. $.50 will get you three songs.

This is why ahe is a legend.
Great cd. Lot of great songs on here. Several duets too. One that really blew me away was Big Bad Love with Ray Charles. Great song. They really sounded good together. This cd is worth every penny

The Greatest Crossover Diva of all time
Superb, breathtaking. I saw her in Worcester, MA on October 4, 2011 and met her while she was on-stage. I, just a fan, was kindly greeted by her and she grabbed my hand and reached out and touched it twice. What an accessible diva. I love this set but with a few minor tweaks it would have been worth it for even the newest Ross fan. Why isn't the final hit with the Supremes of historical value "Someday We'll Be Together" on this? Where is "Touch by Touch"? Where is "Mirror, Mirror". I know this is primarily for the British market but with "Pieces of Ice" excluded all of those songs I just mentioned during her RCA years were all Top 40 or close to Top 40 hits in England too.

GREAT VALUE AND HAS ALL THE UK HITS I WANTED, WELL ALMOST !
I wanted just one album to cover all of DR's hits, this has the lot except for, All of my life, Your Love, I Will Survive, the latter I can live without as I have Gloria's super hit version, but it's a pity the other 2 tracks are not here, still few compilations are perfect in my experience. This is one reason for the **** rating, another is the strange non chronological track order, I can see no sense in it at all, why do compilers do this, it does not make good listening to jump decades as this album does, again in my experience a common fault. What you do get are 44 tracks on 2 CD's, covering her major hits with the Supremes 1964-70, then as a solo artist right up to 2005 plus a few duets, in all a great selection. One final gripe is the "eco friendly" packaging, as it's cardboard on the outside is soon gets scuffed, especially the corners and unlike a jewel case that is easily replaced, this cannot be, all you can do is cut it up for the artwork etc and fit it into a dual jewel case, messy. To sum up, if you want just one album to represent DR in your collection, this is as good as any I found and better than most.PS all the tracks are decent stereo, including the early tracks.PPS it is not suitable just for the Supremes as too few tracks are represented, try the 2001 Anthology for them.

A Sweeping View of a Fabulous Career
Compilations are not designed for the hardcore fan but rather someone who is mild to moderately into her. This compilation is very representative of the high points of Diana's career since her days with The Supremes through her millennium releases. It is comprehensive in that sense. As a hardcore fan though, this is a great collector's item to add to one's collection.I couldn't resist adding this to my collection.it is a salute to one of the greatest!Diana's star has often shone most brightly in the United Kingdom and across Europe. Having seen her several times at Wembley, Le Sports Palais in Paris, Milan and in the Netherlands at her Symphonica in Rosso engagement, European audiences celebrate her contemporary releases, as well as, a comprehensive look over her entire output. The only thing that is missing is her #1 chart topping European duet with the Westlife version of "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" from 2005. However, it may have been awkward to have the same song twice on one album! That not withstanding would have made this truly representative of her hit making status.
