Aihotim Aquarium Sponge Filter, Small Fish Tank Filter Internal Air Driven Sponge with Media for 5-10 Gallon Tank

We basically use this to provide extra polishing for the water in a 20-gallon long. The included sponges and rocks were tossed aside and replaced with a simple wad of filter floss. Overall the item works great, does what it should, and is easy to maintain. This particular filter was chosen due to its small size, and it truly does hide nicely in the back corner of the tank. Ultimately, the only real drawback is the extremely thin, fragile plastic. We'll definitely purchase more if other tanks require a little extra polishing or if space constraints demand a filter with a small footprint.

Products came with dirt on the outflow spout. It probably has been used.It's very hard to disassembled. When the filter pad got wet, it shrunk. Unless you use a lot of filter material to cover the opening where the water entered. Your aquarium water will not be filtered but simply get pump back out.

The media could not be loaded.  I set this filter up in a 5 gallon freshwater planted aquarium to get it ready for a Beta. A week later the water was all cloudy. So I'm going to switch filters as I believe this filter is not working at all. I don't see how the section could work because the filter is surrounded by plastic that has no holes in it so there's no way for the water to get into the filter area so I'm not quite sure even how the thing would work anyway

My favourite filter out of all i havevery easy to set up. just a pump and hose to connect to filter and gone clear.It's very very quietSucks up particles over period of timeWater crystal clear that i am amazed.i have it in small bowlsitting in the sandsmall fishes wouldn't get sucked into it at allvery easy to open, wash filters, and stones set back up and good to go

Couldn't even handle a 3.5 Gallon Betta Tank. The tank was already cycled however within of a week of installing this filter water was cloudy. I replaced it with a sponge filter within 2 hours tank water was clear again.

Great filter alternative for a bowl or small tank. I use it for a betta and it works well.

I purchased this more because I wanted more aeration, pleasantly surprised to see how well the clean the water

I’m not an expert with fish so maybe I ordered wrong pump. Couldn’t figure out how to use it.
