The thing about these knobs is that they do not have a metal-reinforced center. That is good if you are utilizing under-lighting for the clear knobs, but it also means they are more susceptible to cracking because they are also hollow (i.e.: very lightweight). The color you select makes all the difference in the world as to how professional or amateur these appear when you step on stage with them. I love the clear, regardless of their slightly fragile build, but the silver ones look and feel VERY CHEAP. In the pic provided you may be mislead into thinking the silver variety have a tarnished quality, but they do not. I have not ordered the brass, so I cannot verify if they look as tarnished as the image lets on, but the silver ones do not look tarnished or like chrome. They look like the consistency of the plastic in the cap of a silver sharpie, which is a sort of low-level grey sparkle creating a kind of dull sudo-silver. Honestly the ink in a chrome marker looks more chrome. So, 5 stars for the clear crystal color, because they literally look great on every single pedal (they pair surprisingly well with black or very dark colored gear). I don't think they look all that great on chrome or white gear. By contrast, I give like 3 stars for the silver because despite them functioning as advertised, they make almost any gear I put them on look more toy-like, not more professional. The crystal knobs look particularly good on gear that has any LED lights. Even if the light is not directly under them in that cool way to make them glow, people walking around your gear will still get a really nice impression as each crystal knob passes in front of one of your LEDs in the viewers perspective. If you get the crystal clear color and love them, I suggest you also get the Mooer Shrooms which put a rounded crystal clear piece over your buttons. It's a no-brainer to compliment these knobs and make your button more cozy to the hand or foot.

These look REALLY nice. The off white has a more classic type of look. Not cheap in the least as far as materials used. They even give you a tiny little screwdriver! I'll be buying more.BE PATIENT. It takes a while to get here from China, which didn't matter to me because...they're knobs ;)

I bought these for use on a facsimile of the console for a PDP-11/70, a 1975 minicomputer from DEC. Finding authentic-looking knobs for the rotary controls is quite a problem. After sanding the rear of the knobs down a little to reduce their height, they make for a passable imitation of the original.

Had to get these to finish off a diy synth that had a effects with similar knobs. But these knobs are better and have a set screw to mount them.

I haven't had a chance to use these on any projects yet, but they seem sturdy and the fit on the potentiometers I've put them on for mock ups. The orange is vibrant and really nice.

I cannot fathom how this crap averaged 4.5 stars. Please stay away from it. I get it’s an inexpensive item and you should not expect much but almost every screw stripped with the slightest tightening. I tried replacing original chicken foot knobs on an amp and had to stop halfway through due to this garbage stripping continually. Hats off to all those that had good experiences because I can’t imagine how that’s even possible. Buyer BEWARE!

It is nice to have new knobs on my amp. These have a screw on each knob, so coming back to my job sights I should find my knobs still on my amp and not in someone's pockets...

I was building a replica PDP11 and thes knobs have the appropriate look for the system.

I was afraid it'd be some cheap knockoff of the usual Davies, they're solid.
