I love this because of the big relatable images that my little boy recognize.

This is a great coloring book for young children. The paper and the binding are good quality, unlike most coloring books made of newsprint and a few staples or ineffective glue. The paper accepts crayons much better than newsprint, and its bright white surface shows colors brilliantly. It's more satisfying for little artist to really see every stroke they make, and doesn't require hard pressure to show up which leads to more broken crayons. The images are simple, recognizable things that appeal to little ones. They don't contain alot of very small fields that require alot of control and precision to stay in the lines, so that, as kids grow and become more skilled, it's easier for them to stay in the lines if they chose to. Even the smallest little artist will have fun clutching a chunk of crayon and scribbling on the pages. My grandson is 2 yrs, 2 mos old. He's using those cone shaped crayons and the fat washable crayola brand crayons. They both work well with this coloring book, and he really loves it. Each time he turns the page, he gets excited about the image there for him to color. We'll be introducing colored pencils, water colors, and chalks soon, and I'm sure this paper will hold up to those forms of media well, definitely better than newsprint books. I'd recommend this coloring book for parents or grandparents with very young little artists.
