I was sent this item in a color and finish other than what I ordered & the packaging for shipment (by Amazon itself) was poor.
1. I ordered a chrome-plated assembly but I was sent a matte-"black" assembly with what seems to be the "oil-rubbed bronze" finish.I wanted other potential purchasers to know that they risk receiving this item in a color or finish which ISN'T what they expected. I ordered this item on March 30 of this year in the "Premium Chrome" finish. My Amazon order confirms that I ordered the chrome finish, and, when I view the Amazon product page now I'm shown text at the top of the page which tells me I purchased this item on March 30 in the "Premium Chrome Finish."Despite this I received this shower head assembly in what seems to be its "oil rubbed bronze" finish. This item was shipped directly by Amazon, but, as I explain in much more detail than anybody but Amazon or the manufacturer could want to know (in section 4 of this long review, below), the unexpected color and finish don't seem to be Amazon's fault: This item was sent to me in a retail package which was labeled as containing a chrome-finished assembly. The box was illustrated with multiple photos of chrome-plated components. It looks like the manufacturer packaged an "oil-rubbed bronze" assembly in the wrong retail carton. More of these "mis-packaged" assemblies may be shipped in the future.I've already installed my assembly. (Comments about installation are provided in the next section of this review, below.) I think this is an attractively-designed assembly, it seems to offer good value for the price, it operates well, without leaks, and function was more important to me than color and finish. This visually-appealing shower head would be acceptable to me in any of its three finishes, but, if color and finish are critical for you, you may want to be aware that it may be necessary for you to return an assembly which may be shipped in the wrong color and finish.2. Comments about installation:A. It seems best to remove the flow-restrictor from the inside of the bottom of the showerhead handle if you want to maximize the force of the flow of water from the shower head. The installation instructions which are provided by the manufacturer on a blurry, two-sided printed-paper sheet in the retail package mention the removal of the restrictor as "Step 5," AFTER the hose has been attached to the shower head.It seems better to remove the restrictor before you connect the hose to the head, inasmuch as it would be necessary to install new Teflon tape against leaks after you undid your initial connection of the hose to the head. The restrictor on my showerhead was NOT the blue restrictor with the single "T"-shaped cross bars which is shown on the instruction sheet. My restrictor was a small white vinyl cylinder with a perforated central "nipple" and with four small apertures around that central "nipple." There were no perpendicular cross bars so it wasn't possible to pull the restrictor out by hooking a bent paper clip under the cross-bars. I managed to pry the white cylinder out by using tweezers as a pry bar in two of the apertures.A black rubber "O-ring" was fitted around the central "nipple," inside the rim of the vinyl cylinder. It looks like you should pry out the entire cylinder, with its "O-ring" attached. That will leave the tube inside the shower head handle wide open.B. The instructions recommend wrapping Teflon tape around the threaded hose attachment on the hose bracket after you've screwed the bracket onto the supply pipe on the wall but it seems much easier to wrap the hose attachment threads before you install the bracket on the supply pipe, while you can hold the bracket in your hands at eye level, not above your head. The instruction sheet in the retail package shows the Teflon tape being wrapped in a clockwise direction but fails to SAY that the tape should be wrapped around the threads in that direction. Press the free end of the tape down on the threads with your left hand and then wrap the tape "to the right," in a clockwise direction, keeping the tape tight and trying to keep it flat, at its full width. (It can easily become twisted.) You'll be able to pull the tape tight when you complete the first wrap. The additional wrappings will cover the free end which was applied first.C. I found that I could fully tighten the hose's coupling to the shower head bracket by wrapping the coupling with a rag, to protect its "oil rubbed bronze" finish from scratching, then using a long-handled slip wrench to apply enough "torque" to turn the coupling on the multiple wrappings of Teflon tape which I'd applied to the threads of the hose attachment on the bracket. It wasn't possible to tighten that connection by hand.I was favorably impressed by the operation of this attractive shower head. The volume and force of the water flow are good when the flow-restrictor has been removed. The multiple "spray patterns" also seem to be helpful. This looks like a high-quality, well-designed product.3. I wanted to let other potential purchasers know that Amazon's own packaging of merchandise for shipment failed to impress me favorably. This shower head assembly was one of 11 items in a purchase for which I paid more than $600. My total order was divided into five separate shipments, of which three were shipped by affiliated retailers. This shower head assembly was included in one of only two shipments which were to be sent directly from Amazon itself. I haven't yet received the second Amazon shipment. This particular shipment of seven of the 11 items from my order was sent to me by Amazon's "fulfillment" center in Louisville, KY. I opted for free shipping, but I think I can expect that items which are shipped directly by Amazon will be packaged adequately. This shower head assembly was included with six other small items in a single 18-inch by 9-inch by 9-inch Amazon corrugated cardboard shipping carton. The carton was taped shut with single passes of black, blue, and light brown Amazon "Prime" packing tape, which is printed with promotional references to "free delivery," "video streaming," "free reading," etc. This tape is almost 2.75" wide. It looks like this packing tape may be made of paper which is reinforced with a diagonal web of widely-spaced thin filaments. The back of the tape seems to be coated with water-soluble adhesive but most of the tape on my carton either hadn't been wetted adequately or had dried out in transit. All of the longest section of this tape, along the two "flaps" of the top of the carton, along the long axis, was already detached from the carton and curling in on itself when the carton arrived via UPS. It's true that the carton hadn't come open during shipment (the same tape over the ends of the package seemed to be firmly attached there even if the long section down the top of the box was detaching…) but the carton **hadn't** been securely taped and it might be said that I was lucky this poorly-secured carton didn't "disgorge" its contents en route to me. The top flaps might only have been held together by the UPS shipping label, which covered the detached packing tape along the top seam. Had it not been for that tenuous attachment, I might have received an empty carton...The seven items in the carton were all "loose," without any "cushioning" of any type. It could be said they'd just been "dumped" into the carton, which had a lot of empty space, so the contents could "rattle around" in shipment. I've seen Styrofoam "packing peanuts" used to cushion contents of shipping cartons in shipment. I've also seen wadded brown wrapping paper used to cushion contents during shipment, but no such cushioning was added to this shipping carton. One of the items (a 10.3 fluid ounce tube of "furnace cement" which was the size of a normal cartridge for a caulking gun) was pretty heavy and could have knocked against the other items during shipment. Two desktop computer mice were included in this loose "jumble" of items in this carton. Were they damaged during shipment if they were "knocked around" by that heavy tube of furnace cement? It's conceivable that components on the printed circuit boards of the mice could have been dislodged if the heavy tube of furnace cement "smashed into" the mice during transit...4. Here's FAR more information about the **mislabeling** of the shower-head's retail package than would be of interest to anybody other than Amazon itself or the product manufacturer. These details may help to explain how I received a color and finish other than what I'd ordered. (My double and triple asterisks are added for emphasis. They weren't included in any of the texts which appeared on Amazon's Web pages or on the product's packaging.)This hand-held, hose-based shower-head assembly was identified on its Amazon product page as the "Aquarius Handheld Shower Head With Hose (Extra Long) Luxury Spa Grade High Pressure Hand Held Showerhead With 6 Spray Settings - Includes Adjustable Mount Holder & Teflon Tape- *** Premium Chrome Finish ***", but I received this item in a BLACK matte finish, NOT in "chrome," even though the assembly's retail package is labeled as containing a **chrome** assembly, and even though the package (which is attractively designed) is illustrated by photos of a **chrome** assembly. It can't be said that whoever packed this shipment at Amazon selected the wrong item because this shower head assembly's retail package shows a chrome-finish assembly and is labeled as containing such a chrome-finish assembly! The visually-attractive corrugated cardboard retail carton for the shower head assembly is about 10.5" long, c. 5.0" wide, and about 4.25" deep (front to back). The entire box is coated with a glossy black surface on which are many illustrations of the components of a chrome-plated shower-head assembly. The front and the back sides of the carton are only illustrated by large photos of the hand-held shower head. The head is paddle-shaped, consisting of a flat ellipse with a handle extending from one end. Both sides are labeled: "HANDHELD SHOWER HEAD SET." The manufacturer's "Aquarius" name (and logo) appear on one side and "Made in China" appears on the other side.On one side of the carton are six simplified drawings of the head, in white on the glossy black background of the carton, each outlined by a blue rectangular border, and each showing the head emitting water at a different "setting." The six setting-types are identified. At the bottom of that side of the box the assembly is said to be "Made of the highest quality ABS material **with full chrome plating**." The assembly is also said to include "Extra long **stainless steel** hose 5.6 ft."On the other side of the carton multiple photos show the components of the shower head assembly against the glossy black background under a "WHAT'S INSIDE THE BOX" text caption. Some of the components aren't chrome-plated, such as rubber washers and the plastic spool of Teflon tape (for wrapping the threads on the mounting pipe, to eliminate leaks) but three of the components are "reveal" parts, and they're all shown as made of stainless steel &/or as chrome-plated:A. The "EXTRA LONG STRETCHABLE STAINLESS STEEL HOSE" is shown as gleaming **stainless steel** &/or as **chrome-plated,** not as "black" or "dark grey," which is what I received.B. The "ADJUSTABLE BALL JOINT SHOWER MOUNT" looks like it's **chrome-plated.**C. The "6 SPRAY SETTINGS LUXURY HANDHELD SHOWER HEAD" is shown with what looks like **chrome-plating.**The folded-shut flaps of the bottom of the carton aren't marked with any illustrations or text. They're just covered in the uniform glossy black of the rest of the carton. The outer flap of the top bears the "Aquarius" name and the Aquarius logo in a range of greys. Also on that top flap is a rectangular white sticker, with text and a UPC code printed in black. Two codes are shown. At the left, in larger characters, is: B01M59NMJXat the right, on the same line, but in smaller characters, is: 100606267This sticker states the long descriptive name of the shower head assembly, as:"Aquarius Handheld Shower Head With Hose(Extra Long) Luxury Spa Grade High PressureHand Held Showerhead With 6 Spray Settings…"That text occupies the first three lines of that portion of the sticker but the text on the fourth and final line of the long-winded description of the assembly has been "double-printed," and therefore isn't legible. The Amazon description read (from that point, including the previous text which I've shown directly above):"…Includes Adjustable Mount Holder & Teflon Tape- **Premium Chrome Finish.** "I can see the words "Holder," "Teflon," and "Tape" in the double-printed text in the sticker on the retail carton, but the rest of the text is illegible because of the "overprinting."At the bottom of that sticker the final line reads "New Item."There's another small rectangular white sticker, also printed in black, at the lower-right aspect of either the front or back side of the carton. This is the side without the "Aquarius" name and logo at the top. This is the side of the retail package which is marked "Made in China" in a small font at the bottom center of the side. The left end of the sticker adjoins the final letter in the word "China."The top line of this small white sticker is occupied by a UPC bar code. Directly below that bar code is this code, in integers and letters: X001GBZ2ALUnder that text are two more lines of text (including an ellipsis, as I've shown):Aquarius Hand Held Shower …n Tape - ** oil rubbed bronze **NewThe small UPC sticker which I just described (from the extreme lower-right corner of one side of the retail carton) is partly torn at ITS extreme lower left edge! That portion of the sticker has been partly peeled upwards and I can see ANOTHER number code underneath, revealed by the upward peeling of that portion of the "top" UPC sticker! Now that I directly see the underlying code number where it's been exposed to direct observation I can see that the top sticker is thin enough for me to see that it's been applied over what's assumed to be a PRIOR UPC sticker! It looks like most of the surface area of the underlying (prior?) sticker was occupied by a much larger UPC bar code than is seen on the top (overlying) sticker. I can't see any other text on the underlying sticker except this code which appears across the bottom edge of the underlying sticker, under that larger UPC bar code, with spaces: 7 80330 22720 8Could that underlying sticker have identified the expected "chrome plated finish"?The reference to an "oil rubbed bronze" finish in the skimpy text on the overlying small UPC sticker at the lower-right corner of one side of the retail package is the only indication in the packaging that, despite all references on the carton to a "chrome" finish, and to "chrome plating," both in text and as illustrations, the package contained a shower head assembly in the "oil-rubbed bronze" finish.

Very nice
This was really nice when it came. Easy to install, and very helpful with showering an elderly person.

A torrent of water
Good product at great price. The shower head hose is flexible and the unit is compact. If you get the 2.5 GPM version, be prepared for a powerful stream of water. You may need to to reduce it.

High-pressure and Vertical Water Delivery
This shower head is stylish and has a very long cord making it handy to use. I also like the straight, vertical, manner the shower water is delivered rather than a slight angle that you see in most showers. This allows you space to step out from under the shower stream if you need. The six different settings make for a relaxing experience, too. The only reason I marked installation as a 4 instead of five was that we had trouble with the plumbing tape slipping around a bit as we installed it and could not get the entire piece of tape covered with installation to the point water would not leak but after time, the tiny bit of exterior tape has settled into the grooves, and you don't notice it. To be honest, it was probably our installation technique. It was super easy to just unscrew the old head, wrap the pipe with tape, and then screw back on. We were just clumsy with the tape. NOTE: You will need a wrench to get that tight fit, and be sure to use a towel while tightening so you don't scratch the beautiful, polished exterior.

Impressive!
Confession: I just received this shower head yesterday, and took my first shower with it this morning, so I can't attest to how durable it is, but I decided to take a chance on Aquarius because from what I've seen in their responses to people's reviews, their customer service is quite good if/when something does go wrong.Ok, back to the shower head itself...Showering with this thing is pretty awesome! The water pressure is really great, and the coverage is better than my old shower head. Of the 6 modes, I really only see myself using one or two, but that's perfectly fine. Switching between modes is simply a matter of turning the face of the shower head, and it locks into position with a satisfying click. The head itself is very lightweight, which is good since it makes it easy to use as a handheld, and when you want to use it in a fixed position, it hangs securely in its arm/bracket. I saw a couple of reviews mentioning that the bracket didn't support the head sufficiently, but I don't have any issue with that whatsoever, so maybe some people received defective ones, or maybe Aquarius improved the design since then.I initially tried taking out the water restrictor, but what's shown in the instructions doesn't match what I actually saw when looking in the shower head (the instructions say to poke out a white plastic thing, but the only thing I could poke out on mine was a black rubber o-ring.) So I decided to just leave it alone. The pressure is fantastic as-is so it's a moot point.Other than that, installing this shower head was about as simple as you'd expect if you ever installed a shower head before. It takes a couple of minutes, requires no tools, and the teflon tape is included. It's about as simple a DIY project as you could hope for.Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that this thing lasts a good many years. I'm already looking forward to using it again!

Terrific product
This hand held shower head is wonderful and a great necessity as unfortunately I broke my ankle and needed to be able to shower while sitting on a shower chair. My husband loved the different shower options which made it an enjoyable and a big difference overall. Highly recommend this product.

Insanely long hose
This appears to be a well made product. And it is. But be warned, the shower hose is longer than your average shower hose. In our case, it hung down so far, it got tangled into the shower valve. If for whatever reason you need to reach the far corner of you tub on a regular basis, this might be the shower for you.

Light weight
This is garbage. All threaded parts are plastic and are very brittle so it’s very easy to cross thread. It took me 4 times removing and retightening to stop all the leaks. Reminder that the gasket in plastic bag goes into the water line at the handle.Feels too light and cheap.
