H System 3000K GU10 LED Track Lighting Head White - 3000K Warm White 7.5W LED Bulb 50154L-3K-WH

I am changing all lights to LED as long as the light is right for the area. I like soft light in some places and nice bright white light in others. I had to grind down one of the contacts since it was just a bit too big to swivel all the way to snap in. No big deal, but if you don't have something to modify the contact, you may get frustrated. I have an older strip lighting unit, so maybe that could be the problem. Anyway, works fine. I would have given 5 stars except for the little modification that was needed.

After 21 years, I decided to convert my track lights to LED. 500 watts vs 80 watts. I ignorantly tried to use LED bulbs  LightStory MR16 LED Bulbs, 12 Volt, 5W 450lm, 50W Halogen Bulbs Equivalent, 3000K Warm White, 40° Beam Angle Non-Dimmable MR16 GU5.3 LED Light Bulbs, UL Listed, Pack of 10  in the old fixtures designed for incandescent 12 volt bulbs. They do plug in and light up but some flickered while others turned on and off randomly. Turns out, LED lights need LED transformers to operate satisfactorily. Instead of going all in and buying ten I tried 1. Very pleased with it, I bought 3 more and found out that these have had a power regulating effect on the for mention condition so, my original investment in the LED bulbs was not a waste after all. As the old transformers die, I'll be replacing them with these LED fixtures.

I installed a Halo track lighting system with 6 of these bullets. After a year they continue to work great. Best of all, they can be dimmed without flicker or any issue. I had tried another brand before finding these which apparently was not compatible with a dimmer.

3 stars due to mechanical tolerance issues (5 star, electrically).Like the appearance / construction of the lamp housing and the very dimmable LED lamp .. electrically works well.Mechanical dimensional problem with plastic base supporting the electrical contacts prevented a proper installation (twist lock into railing) into the original halogen lamp track rail (this is the same rail type as stipulated by vendor). You will need a small file to trim the plastic contact support base to get this to meet the original rail dimension requirements (see photo). Had to increase gap under contact base from 0.13" to 0.15" and reduce length of plastic section on contact base from 0.77" to 0.75" (for all four units purchased). The actual contacts are about 1/64" longer, also, but was not the issue, mechanically.After filing the 4 purchased units to proper size .. installed and worked very well!

These lights are at a great price point when compared to those in stores . The bulbs included makes it even better deal . The only reason I gave less then 5 stars is they do not fit the older trac we had without modification . The bases are slightly larger than the old style trac light bases . Hubby was able to make small modification to enable them to slip into the trac . The lights are very bright as well . If you are not comfortable with making this modification I would not recommend .

These fixtures (nine of them) are being used to illuminate an island and peninsula in a kitchen and do a wonderful job. They are replacing low voltage halogen fixtures, which ran too hot and tended to oxidize the leads/sockets and cause a semiconducting contact and thus no light. My only complaint, and it is minor, is I wish the heads had a little more movement (the wire is too short). They would be fine if the tracks were on the bottom of the tie beam as opposed to the side, and I am not about to move them.

I was looking in local stores and no one had exactly what I wanted. They had ones you could not change the bulb in which I did not want as I know the occasional bulb dies because of circuitry and not the bulb so I wanted replaceable LED bulbs. That is what these are and they were priced less than the non replaceable. Look great work great.

These work, but feel a little bit cheaply made.
