Dsmile25-Pack 1/2" Stainless Steel Screw Eye Rings

Perfect for what I needed these for. Tiny but strong. I use these for crafts and they are excellent.

These are super tiny. The ring is strong but they have very tiny threads. I should have ordered 5/8'sHad to use them but it was work to install them in my picture frames.

Used these for Xmas ornaments

1/16” is too large for pilot hole. I used a #61 drill bit and it was just right.

They don't grab well for screwing in regardless of the start given or wood used. (I've been doing this most of my life, so know how to use eye hooks b4 anyone can suggest otherwise.) 🙃 Maybe they are poorly machined. At first I thought I'd hit a knot, but no, didn't work on well other wood either, but other eye hooks worked fine. Unless your the type to nail in screws, lol, don't bother.

It is true these screw eyes are very small, but that was not my overall problem with them. I wanted small screw eyes for a very tiny project that I was working on. However, I believe that the description of this product is mis-represented. While the description is a little unclear on the exact dimensions -- it lists both 7/64" and 7/32" as part of its dimensions -- one would assume that the threaded screw would be somewhere between those measurements, especially since part of the description does say "threaded screw is 7/32" diameter." However, there is no way the screws are 7/32" or even 7/64". In the picture I provided, I placed one of these screw eyes between my 7/64" and 1/16" drill bit. As you can see, the threaded screw is smaller than both. I was planning on using my drill press to drill holes to use these with -- I need dozens of them, and it would take much longer and be much harder on my hands to try and do it all by hand, but they fall out of the holes made even with my 1/16" bit, the smallest size I have available. The 7/32" dimension seems to be the dimension of the eye, but again, that is not clear based on the description of the product, especially because there is a different dimension given for the eye. Very disappointing.

These eye screws are the smallest i could find. They do indeed seem to be made of stainless steel, no corrosion. I did torque a few of them in half when i was tightening them into brass, but then with this thin of gauge material that is not abnormal. Be sure to use the properly sized pilot hole if you are using these in metal. Due to the thin gauge/ shallow threads these would be susceptible to pulling out of soft materials. Thats not a problem with the product its just to be expected when dealing with this small of a screw.Pros: Super small size True stainless steelCons: Limited application due to thin gauge steel

These things are minuscule. I ordered thinking they would fit a 3/16 wire rope. No chance. Otherwise, nothing really wrong with them. Just read the discription and make sure they’re what you want.

Maybe my own fault but I didnt realize these are so small. Okay for threading wire maybe but not much more
