RCP USA RCF-VCRK Unidirectional Concrete Repair Kit, Black, 10 Count

Purchased this to fix a 5 foot large crack in my 100 year old house foundation and stop the pretty decent stream of water coming in when it rains. I did fill the crack with some hydraulic cement first as I think anyone should do with a crack. Then I used this - I definitely used too much of the epoxy but you can buy more for pretty cheap comparatively. I also didn’t grind down the wall first (the walls are very very rough), which would have made the job much better. I highly recommend you grind the area down smooth with an angle grinder and cement bit or it’s not going to be an easy job. Also buy some extra nitrile gloves - I found using two pairs of gloves made cleanup much easier. After applying the epoxy and smoothing with my gloved hands, I smoothed it down every hour or so with a cheap plastic squeegee. That helped as well. My only complaint is that it was difficult to find the right size epoxy gun. I bought one on amazon without looking closely and it was smaller than the cartridges- be aware of that. I hit every home goods store in town (Lowe’s, Ace, Home Depot, menards) an no one had a gun, let alone one of the correct size. So be sure to purchase that when you buy this kit if you don’t already have one.

Agree with the other reviews as this is a good product. I first put the strip vertical but the crack was vertical as well. I read the review saying to run it opposite of the crack so I put another layer in 12” increments so now overlaps and worked great. Super thick and think it’s permanently fixed. I put both hydrolic cement on the crack and after it dried put another layer of cement epoxy that was made for bolts (like the brochure suggested that came with the carbon repair kit) and I think it’s bullet proof. I was thinking about putting another layer of foundation rubber over it as well but don’t think I need to. Great product. I was worried about the crack separating again and leaking in my soon to be finished basement. This is the only product that I hope will keep the foundation walls together. I called my builder and he said I fixed it right so hopefully he’s right. Seen what water can do to my in-laws house and it completely trashed the foundation...thousand’s and thousands of dollars of repairs.

It says it's a "kit", but it requires a special Adhesive Applicator gun that is NOT included. This kit is useless unless you fork out an additional $57.

It's an excellent product to use Easy and I won't have to do it again.
