Raw Paws 10-inch Compressed Rawhide Sticks for Dogs, 10-ct - Pressed Rawhide Chews for Large & Medium Dogs - Safe Hide Rolls - Natural Dog Chew Long Lasting for Aggressive Chewers

I have been purchasing these raw hides a couple times a month for a few years through Amazon, for my 30 lb. Cocker Spaniel ... He is a STRONG chewer, and needs a tightly formed compressed raw hide ~ when I came across these, they were extremely worth the money, as my boy enjoyed them thoroughly, they were tightly compressed so lasted a long time, and no large loose pieces coming off quickly ... Unfortunately, for at least the past six months, these are now darker, smellier, NOT tightly compressed ~ leaving seams with sharp edges (which cut his mouth numerous times), and quickly comes unraveled in full length layers. I end up with raw hide hard “curls” all over, and no longer in a “stick.” I end up having to throw them away, which is a total waste of money ... This has not only happened with the five count bag, but also with the 10 count.Sad pup, and sad pup parents ~ we count on these !

I guess my sensitive-stomach-needs-prescription-food Golden mix is officially the Champion of Chewers. I see people leaving reviews where at least this chew lasts 30-40 minutes or longer. If my pooch isn't done in 15 minutes I consider it an off day for the Champ. With that said, I will still give these a 4 star rating - she hasn't (yet) thrown up after eating one of these so that puts them at a 6 star rating if we had that option. Whatever makes these digestible versus other rawhides works for her sensitive stomach. At least with these she has a happy face chewing for a short time and I am not waking up at 4:30 to the lovely sounds of over-night-express return of chewed up rawhide...FYI if anyone else has a major chewer (minus the sensitive stomach) - American Pride makes a 12" rawhide roll that takes the champ an entire day to destroy. Unfortunately it too often is one of those express returns at 4:30 in the morning so we have had to resort to the more stomach-friendly Raw Paws product.

I bought the 10" version. Found the quality of these to be superior to any other brand I've tried in the last 3 years, and I've tried a handful.The difference here is that the rawhide is rolled much tigher than other brands, making it more difficult for the dogs to tear off strips.As a result they last considerably longer then similarly sized rolls that have lots of internal air gaps.

I was asked to write a review from my email, but it wouldn't let me.I'm very happy with this product and I think my girl is, too. She really enjoys chomping on them. I started her on these when she was about 9 months old....she was a BIG chewer and these really helped to curb her chewing needs. Lilly is a tri-color Australian Shepherd that we rescued from a "backyard breeder".Every time she goes to the vet, he checks her heart, ears, and teeth. He tells me her teeth are in wonderful shape and have very little build up of tartar. I don't brush her teeth, but the groomer does every 6 weeks. So, I attribute her good teeth, in part, to these chews. Be careful though, sometimes sharp shards break off. I never leave her home alone with a chew stick.I DO think they are priced too high. I buy them for my adult children's dogs because their money needs to go to other things. Thank you for asking for my review. I hope this helps some customers in their choice. My boy absolutely loves these! He is an aggressive chewer so these are perfect for him and last an incredibly long time. He'll nibble a bit, leave it alone then come back to it. He's a happy pup!😆🐶🐕

Dilbert, my eight-year-old black lab savors nothing. He gulps and swallows as though it had been three years since he ate anything. He is absolutely frantic about food. But these bully sticks slow him down. He has to take his time. I know that these seem expensive, but they are perfect for Dilbert. He looks forward to getting one. He grabs at it with his teeth and then races once around the kitchen and then out the dog door to enjoy his special treat. He's usually gone for at least an hour and a half. So when I have workers coming over to do a repair, I just give Dilbert a stick and he is out of everyone's way for a time.

We’ve been searching for a long time for a quality product for our Pits. Princess, as seen above, is a Pit/Mini Pincher mix. Our two boys are both full blooded Pits. As such, it’s very hard to find a product that’s good for them, lasts a long time, and is affordable. We FINALLY found it in these treats. Princess’ face says it all! They all LOVE them and we feel comfortable giving them a safe treat that is also healthy for them. Thank You for such a great product. We will buying these from now on! 💕💕💕

This product seems like a good solution for the heavy chewer in your life. My only problem is is the dog prefers this and not his food so I probably won't be purchasing this again. The only other problem it is hard as a rock, the clever dog figured out just soak it in the water and eat it in a few minutes. The price is a little steep but for the dog that is not too smart it will keep them busy for many hours. Let's hope dogs don't learn to soak their chew bones in puddles of water. Sneaking it into the house and making a mess of the carpet. He also broke into the food pantry to eat the rest of them, pulling everything off the shelves. Making him very full and gassy the next week. This behavior is only with this product. Perhaps he becomes obsessive over this delightful treat. Let's hope your dog does better.

I have a 95lb female "Great Newfie Doodle" (Std.Poodle/Pyrenese/Newfie mix!) who loves rawhide. And yes, she loved these bones and I was hoping that they would last longer than an hour or two. Alas, they don't. So if your dog is an avid chewer, don't count on longevity from these bones.Other than them not lasting, I found them to be of good quality and did not present any issues during "processing"!

My dog is a large breed aggressive chewer and she loves these.Second purchase of these and I still stand by my first review that she loves these and they are great for aggressive chewers. My dog is Akita/King Shepherd/Rottweiler/Pitbull...3 breeds that have the most powerful bites and these satisfy her very well.

Much better than the non-compressed bones but our Italian Mastiff goes through them still without any difficulty. Lasts a long time for our smaller dogs. Not exactly cheap at 5+ dollars each. I would not recommend for a big dog who can chew through almost anything.
