OMG can't believe i actually got one. well i'll probably never open it honestly EVEN THO it has a book in it i want to read. as a J Dilla fan this is a collectors item for me, it must stay preserved

Received my sealed boxset and it was missing record G/H and instead had doubles of record E/F. Appears to be a common packing error with buyers reporting similar mistakes over on Discogs. Other than that, no complaints. Record pressing and sound quality is top notch. Book and box printing is good quality.

The record I received skips! I need to contact the manufacturer to see if I can return it but as of now I am very disappointed with the product.

Anyone who knows hip hop, knows that Jay Dee, a.k.a. J Dilla is an icon in the realm of hip hop and progressive production. As a fan who owns most of what exists on wax in Dilla's discography, I've been waiting on a copy of Welcome 2 Detroit for a long time, as they are hard to get seeing that they sell out wherever sold. I ordered this at an amazing price and though I'd have to wait forever to score a copy. Amazon pulled through in just over a month with my fresh wax.The reissue itself is solid with no extra crap that comes with most albums these days. Just a single sleeve with two thick records and a single liner note. Of course it's the music I'm after, and as far as Dilla albums go, this is a banger. On wax that sounds fantastic, tracks like Pause come though with deep bass, flat mids, and crisp highs, sand any distortion. And though Dilla holds his own as an MC, it's the best making that grabs us Dilla heads as he truly is in a league of his own. From his signature lazy percussion, to his diverse range of sampling, Jay Dee truly was (and still is) the best producer in the realm of hip hop. It's a shame that he only really got the acclamation he deserved after his passing. Regardless, this humble giant can be celebrated and remembered in albums like Welcome 2 Detroit, The Shining, Ruff Draft, and of course Donuts. Grab this if you ever see a copy available for purchase as they are hard to come by due to his reemergence as a hip hop icon. Rest in peace Dilla Dawg. In today's sea of mind numbing Trap hop, the genre had much to learn by studying the way hip hop was meant to be heard.

Meine subjektive Meinung kann ich bei diesem MC-producing-DJ leider nicht unterdrücken!Jay Dee macht gute Musik, dicke Beats und Rappen kann er auch noch!Ist eben alles selbst produziert, das gefällt mir!
