Design ToscanoEU29434 Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte Bonded Marble Statue, white

I have to say this met and exceeded my expectations. The photo and description were accurate. I have a room with a Sherlock Holmes theme. His story about the Six Napoleon's made this a wonderful addition to my room.

A superbly silly bust of ole Boney. Looks great on my desk and I use it as a stand for my sunglasses. It's a little smaller than I'd realised, the 30cm total height is a lot of plinth and a lot of hat, but the detailing is fine, the likeness isn't *too* far away from standard and it actually looks pretty good. It's fairly heavy at around 2kg and has four felt feet on the base to prevent it scratching your surfaces. Fun, strangely cool and very silly but also a nice artefact in itself.

I really like this piece on my bookshelf. It summons memories of the Napoleon House bar in New Orleans. Love looking at it daily - brings happy memories.

Ah. Waterloo. That famous battle of 1815 in which Napoleon (perhaps a lot more jaded than the bust depicts him) lost a pretty big battle against Wellington and allies. I collect these kinds of ornament, and this is perhaps one of the best. It is superbly weighted, well made and detailed. The material is marble-like and it is easy to clean. It is much bigger than I thought it would be - and that isn’t a negative; it sits very nicely on the fireplace looking out over my own battlefield (kids toys and scraps of food left there by the same). But it looks regal. You can also pop these in gardens and water features - there are instructions in the box detailing how to take care of Napoleon if you subject him to that kind of dishonour :)
