Received with minor damage but works as expected
The unit was not packaged adequately and had mild damage to it. Despite that, it worked as expected. The unit was not wrapped in anything nor was any padding provided in the cardboard box it came shipped in. The unit would've been subjected to any weight placed on top of the containing box.The damage consisted of the two radiators being pushed together and the center fan having come loose from the wire-clips that hold it to the radiator. Several radiator fins were bent out of position. I was able to straighten the fins, pull the radiators apart (so there is a gap between the radiator and the center fan), and reattach the fan that had come loose.

Fun project
I purchased this device to make a small cooler that I could use to keep small things cool on the way home from the store. I paid $16 for it a few months ago but it's now up to $44 and not such a bargain anymore. I started with a 1 cu.ft. foam chest from the Dollar store. Pictures tell the construction story. The best temperature spread between ambient temp and inside the cooler is 30° Fahrenheit which is pretty poor but about the best cooling you can expect. It takes about 120 watts of power to accomplish that. Since I plug it into the cigarette lighter not a big deal. Fun project.
