Excellent value security camera which works well......
I have installed this camera in an outdoor location. Installation was straightforward with no particular issue regarding the physical placement or indeed technically. The app Camhi Pro works well with no serious issues. I am not going to be negative in any way regarding this product because at the price paid it represents excellent value. Of course, one has to plan the mounting location and also one has to think about internet connection etc. This camera is no different from any other when it comes to connectivity. Any camera, irrespective of price will not connect if poor WiFi signal etc. Now,the things I'd like to point out and to consider before purchase. 1. Don't expect great results if there is poor connectivity. 2. Three wires on the back need to ideally be inside the premises for connection. You will need a fairly large hole to pass the attached plugs through. Having said that if you only connect the power wire indoors then a much smaller hole is required. In fairness the connection look quite weather proof anyway so could be left as is outdoors but the power adaptor lead, one way or the other will still need to be passed through a hole or gap. Applying extra weather proofing to the external connections can be easily achieved. The connections I made are all indoors. 3. Video/photo quality is good, day or night. 4. Read the manual carefully and all will be fairly straightforward. 5. Camhi Pro works well but, like the manual, get to know it then you'll have no great problems. 6. Experiment with the detection sensitivity. The default of 50 was too high for my usage. I've settled for 11 which performs well. 7. This camera has no function to detect humans alone so will be triggered for all movement. Consider this before placement. 8. SanDisk 64gB storage card works well for me. In summary I have given this product 5*'s. This is a competively priced (sub £30 at the time of purchase). It is excellent value for the price paid. Works well. Update. With regard to the aactivation [movement detection] unfortunately when it rains the rain sets off movement activation almost on a permanent basis. Result is many many false activations. Remedy - only option is to turn off movement activation notification. Even with setting sensitivity down as low as possible [1] does not stop erroneous activations due to rain or indeed any other movement, no matter how small. So, for me set to on when dry and off when raining or windy. However, the camera is always recording and storing the monitored area irrespective of activation being on or off. In summary, movement activation allows too many activations during rain and windy weather. Still, with the observations I've made a 5* review is deserved when one takes into account the price paid, sub £30. It serves well the purpose for which I bought it for. UPDATE. August 2023. Customer support is excellent. I would not hesitate to purchase further iegeek products.

Great security camera with much improved wifi connection
I already have three ieGeek cameras (IG82's) but due to the distant from my router have had issues with one camera keeping its connection.Have replaced with this camera which has two antennas and the signal has never dropped. As I already had three camera set up was very easy. If this is your first camera just follow the instructions provided - but if you are struggling there are a number of easy to follow youtube videos available.Having mounted to the wall the adjustment with this model is much easier than the my other cameras. No more messing around with an allen key you just move about until you get the angle / position you want and then tighten up the mount by hand. This model can also now be mounted from above and below as you can fit the bracket from either side of the cameraAnother good point is the easy access to install the SD card which is now simply behind a waterproof seal. The day time image quality is fantastic and the motion detection works very well.In terms of night vision this is quite acceptable - only issues is a bit of a 'Halo effect' around the edges. Not had this problem with the other ieGeek cameras but it is not a major issue. In summary its a great little security camera for the price.

Great camera but.................
This is a great camera. It is nice quality and provides great image quality including the night vision. Can record to an SD card located in the camera or FTP the recordings to a local PC drive or network storage or both. Easy to set up and lots of features. You can access the camera feed via an apple or android app and change the camera settings in the app or some P2P Client software to set up the camera on a PC.Now the 'but'.... You can access the camera setting by visiting the camera IP address and supposed to see the live image so you can adjust the image settings. However, the firmware inside the camera is dated and requires flash player. The trouble is Flash player is no longer available and not supported. So you cannot view the image in any way in any up to date browser. This means you HAVE to use the smart phone app or the PC client software to see the image. That being said, it's not a deal breaker and the camera can still be used with the app and pc client software without issue and all the camera's features can still be used.Knowing this, would I buy on again? Yes I would, It remains a great value camera.
