Easy replacement for regular lightbulbs. We purchased these after our power went out a few times this past winter. They charge easily simply by installing them in the light socket! They are not nearly as bright as the regular bulbs, but when there is no power, they are absolutely better than nothing or multiple flashlights. During one outage, we were able to power appliances with our portable generator and still light the house using these bulbs. We have not used them since, so I can't speak to their longevity, but I'm sure as hurricane season progresses and as winter approaches, we'll charge them up again.

I charged the bulbs. They light up if you put them in the holder or between your thumb and finger, but they will not light up in the lamp. I expected them to stay light where they were in case of a power outage

Sadly these bulbs are so tall they fit with none of my lamp harps. And I have some large harps. Check measurements if you can before ordering. I really wanted these but they will be returned. Also the color is extremely blue/white.

Really not very useful for us

Haven’t experienced a power outage yet, but used it to light up a dark space while working. Gave my 90 year old mother one and she loves it!
