Not a safe but practically perfect
I am a huge fan of tap-to-open safes because when you are panicked, keys and combos don’t always work. Biometric? Not if your hands are wet or dirty.As others have said, this isn’t really a safe — it is a heavy duty locker. It has four mounting holes on the back (2 each near top and bottom) and another 4 on the floor to secure it to your house framing.I have it snuck between our large headboard and the wall furthest away from the bedroom door to hold shotguns and pistols. Duck behind the bed and tap to defend ourselves.When on vacation I might move the guns to a “real” safe for security.Unfortunately I had to contact Hornady for warranty service. The programming button inside was broken but I can use the key. It’s a Saturday so I have to wait until Monday for them to get back to me. Will update when I know more.

Not a true safe, but good enough
It's essentially a really beefy gun cabinet. Or a somewhat weak safe. No safe under $1k will keep out a determined person with power tools, so this one is good enough as far as I'm concerned.Good news: Access features are good (rfid tags, numeric code, physical key). Quick access. Has mounting holes on bottom and back. Pegboard backing and accessories are nice. Good for keeping out kids and smash & grab situations. Works with AC or battery power.Bad news: Arrived slightly damaged with 3-4 minor dents. Not fully welded around seams. Flimsy (16 gauge steel) for a "safe". Needs to be mounted to wall/floor. Rotary locks are easy to pick with the right tool.

Info & better explan help w/purchase. Understood safe holds 8 AR15s. Only get 1 w/safe w/pistols.
The safe provides exactly what we need only to small in highth and width and depth for 8 guns.
