OEM WRX timing belt for 1/2 the dealer cost and delivered to my door before any parts store could get a crappy Gates belt stamped made in China.

Great belt, dealer quality part but half the price. Used this most recently on a 2004 wrx.

I bought this belt for my 02 WRX. I compared to the more costly OEM belt (made by Unitta in Japan). The OEM Unitta belt and the Mitsuboshi look identical. Even the thickness of the belts is very very close. The Unitta belt is clearly made from HNBR as it is marked. The Mitsuboshi belt is not marked with the material it is made from but is does look identical. I tried to find some reputable literature for more information about what the Mitsuboshi belt is from but I could not. However, based on the appearance, feel and comparison to the Unitta belt I have no reason to believe it is not made from HNBR. Mitsuboshi belting is the OEM manufacturer for many automotive timing belts. One thing really stands out me about the 2 belts, side by side. The Mitsuboshi belt alignment marks for the cogs are dead on! The more expensive Unitta belt (purchased from Subaru) are not.

Worked perfectly for my 2010 WRX, index marks were easy to see, very high quality, comparable to the OEM one I took off. Wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Skip Gates, and use this.
