Omni Diet
I have heard of the Paleo diet but not the Omni Diet and was curious enough to buy this.Quite an interesting read and went through the benefits of protein as apposed to carbs. Very similar vein to the Paleo, but with a few twists. Good explanation of how to move forward for life changes in eating habits.

Needs more recipes
I was hoping for a book with more recipes. Something with more of a plan. The grater part of the book seemed to be full of selling points rather than the "plan" I was looking for. I would have liked to see more of a plan to fallow than what I saw. I was already sold on this sort of diet, and I wanted somthing more. I did not get what I wanted out of this book.

Sensible diet
Overall, the Omni Diet Plan is pretty sensible - eat healthy food, heavy on the plants, with a reasonable amount of protein. Avoid processed carbs. There's also a good section on diet myths and truths that had some information I hadn't read before. If you follow this book's advice, you should be able to lose weight in a healthy manner.

Life-changing Alternative which i never knew...
This book is simple to read & understand. What i Learn is how to eat right without the enormous number of fad-diets. Did you know that the diet industry is around 60 billion dollars annually? I have tried many diets, but they all get back to the same results. It's almost like a cycle that never ends, each time I lose weight, and then I gain it back after a few months. This book gave me a choice to change by eating healthy instead of taking on new diets all the time. I'm not saying that it's 100% effective for your body, but it did give me a sense that the Omni Diet is a sensible approach towards understanding our better a little bit better than forcing our body to accept new diets. Also the section that was particularly mind boggling was 15 of the most popular myths... it might enlighten you in some way like it did for me...In a nut shell, its a great way of staying in shape without the trouble of taking on something entirely alien for me body...

Good info - not original
This is a decent presentation of a commonly known eating plan. The plan is not the author's original work. It appears Wilson has re-packaged the information. I found several formatting issues and a few editing problems. But the information is valid and worthy of being read whether in this or in another source.

Good reference material i suppose
I would think this would have more example of daily meals an snack combinations to help get started and get a better idea. Other than that it is an easy read...

Nice weight loss book:)
The book is nicely written and well-researched. I like the motivational spirit Cathy sticks to. Personally, my eating patterns are a bit different, but every now and then I like a bit low-carb diet. Overall, good buy and helpful read- I did learn from it. Cathy's passion for the topic is clear:)

good source for additional information
Now I will read about the Mediterranean diet which I think may be more to my liking. I believe that a combination of the two may be the "fit" I need.

Good overview of the principles but only provides a sample menu. I had bought this for recipes and recommended amounts of food, so I am a little disappointed that it is so lacking on the practical side.

great weight loss programme
wish I had bought this book years ago. I saw the diet on the TV so got the book and lost 12lbs in 2 weeks and felt great. I had hoped for a bit more science but who cares really as I lost the weight after trying for years and failing.

misleading title
There are many diet books on the market with helpful information. This is not one There is no plan to follow just one suggestion. Better books about carbs v protein and low density vegetables.

Worked as I lost 14lbs after two weeks. Books a very lightweight on meal idea's and you can probably lookup the principles without this book.

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your time on this book if you want to know how to understand the omni diet. There is no real information here about the actual diet itself just pages of science and no real plan whatsoever. Even when there is information on food you can eat there is no real indication on how much you can eat.
