UPDATE: Assassinated by the Chonk Bois after 4 months and 15 days (I still love it)
UPDATE:The chonks finally did it. It went down to every other week or so they would knock the food tray over. Sometimes even longer than two weeks before knocking it over. Apparently it reached it limits last night. The Bois attack in the 3am zoomies cats get so I'm never sure who starts what. The plastic hooks that insert the top feeder bin into the bottom tray broke, specifically the two back pieces. The front lock which is larger slipped out once the back pieces broke. Now, I'm sure this is something I can fix. With glue!In 4 months and 15 days there has never been a food jam! I see no reason to ever take the top off! If anything the glue will also help prevent any air from getting inside. Which was never an issue but since they kinda broke the plastic it might effect the air tightness. I'm also going to wedge this between my mini fridge and the wall so they cannot knock it over again.Maybe if you have true terrors of the night try making sure it secured between furniture or hooked up to a wall to prevent knock over.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Con: I have one complaint. It needs a light that indicates when it is on battery power. Or a light that is always on for the power cord. Because my Chonk Bois have tried to kill the god of food and sometimes unplug the device. It is difficult to check because the power connector is under the device. So I have to wonder if the Chonk Bois have disconnected the device by their thunder attacks overnight. I don't know if they have until the low battery power light comes on. During 1 month of use I had to change the batteries already because it was unplugged and I didn't know.Pros: This machine has survived being pulled away from the wall with the feed dish pulled off from the sheer raw thunder attacks from the Chonk Bois. The locking lid has stayed on. The program lasted until battery power ran out. Repeated attacks have occured yet the food has securely remained in the container.Been using this product for a month. As more time went on the Chonk Bois have begun to calm down. The attacks are less severe. The dish is not completely pulled off nor the container turned upsidedown. Adding multiple meal times to keep the food coming. The nightly screams have even lessened. Only the 5am howls remain, as is tradition. The Chonk Bois came to me at 4 years old and were overly fed. Given too much food all the time. They are very nice Bois who get along great and can easily share a food dish without any problem. I'm optimistic this product will help me get the Bois to a healthier weight. The Chonk Bois will only eat kibble. They reject all wet foods. They do love some wheat grass. As you see from the pics there is the first day with bright green wheat grass and the 1 month use pic with nearly dead and destroyed wheat grass.

Stick to the preprogrammed meals
Worked well for leaving with my kitty while I travelled. I tried it out for several days before I travelled and it seemed to work well. Only thing was I tried to set up the schedule and found it very difficult until I finally when to a preprogrammed schedule, then it was very easy to use.

Performance Leaves a Bit to Be Desired
I set this product and tested it for a couple days and it worked so we went on vacation without worry. When we returned (a couple days later), the amount of food left in the hopper showed it did not feed as it should have. The product feeds based on weight and the hopper is the weighing mechanism. If an animal knocks into it, it seems like it resets the machine and doesn’t feed as it should without human intervention. Thankfully we had an emergency back up for feeding. Not a bad product but if your furry friend is curious or rambunctious, this may not be the product for you.

Resists Kitty Assault
We had tall feeders that were not stable on their own once our runt figured out he could launch himself across the room, knock into them, and get a few pieces of food loose. We would wake up at all hours of the night to him assaulting the feeders. We even had to build a makeshift shelter out of a plastic drawer set from Walmart to house them so they couldn't be knocked over. Unfortunately he still managed to bap at them with his paws to knock food out, and eventually began pulling the trays off the bottoms since they didn't lock in.I was between this and one other model with dual bowls. The dual bowl feeder is loud as food clangs into the bowls and serving sizes are smaller, causing it to run and jam more. I returned that one once I tried the first model of this Nano feeder. I'm in love. The lid locks on. The food tray locks in and can't be manipulated by our greedy Bittle, and he has yet to try and knock it over and nothing has come out as far as we know. We now have two models and I have just ordered a 3rd for our 3 boys.I'd recommend it over and over again. Now we can take our space back from the other unstable feeders and the plastic drawer we cut apart to help them stand.

Too small
Still searching for a machine that will feed at least a cup of food in the bowl.

Great product but measurements are made for dogs
We love this product. Our cat loved it more, because it dispensed TWICE the amount of her normal daily food allowance. If you purchase it, please measure the food and adjust the "recommended" amount to your actual amount, because the "ounces" used is meant for large dog food, not smaller cat food. We purchased this before leaving on a trip (we had a cat sitter just in case) and it worked like a charm. We haven't gone back to daily personal feedings. Highly recommend!

Cat approved
Reviewed by Sheba:I love my new feeder. I gave it several long stares during the first couple feedings, and I can now report that it is totally harmless. My food is never late when Mom sleeps in. The dish is deep enough that I don't accidentally push food out like I did with my old dish. The only drawback is that I won't be able to overeat from the gravity feeder when Mom goes out of town. Still, it's worth 5 stars. (This rating was approved by Mom.)

battery compartment is impossible to get into
I haven't been able to use the machine because I can't get into the battery compartment. The screw was tightened SO tightly. And, it is absolutely the tiniest phillips head screw in the world.

So far so good
After almost 2 months it hasn't clogged once! So far very reliable. The food could fall farther down into the bowl but the cat doesn't seem to have a problem with that! It is a very large bowl and the reservoir holds a tonne of food.

bowl not steep enough, customer service sucks
The feeder was good the first month but after the first month the food always stay on the top, near where it was dispensed. See the photos, I try adjusting the amount of food and try cleaning the bowl (I did not over clean nor making any scratches to the bowl) but the food won’t come down and my kittens didn’t bother to get the food since it was hard for them to reach. Is there anything I can do about it? And I have just passed the refund window. Please advise.

Works well.
No issues with it, kind of complicated to set it up though, I need to refer to the manual every time. Seems overly expensive for what it probably costs to make one of these.
