I don't like to give bad reviews; in this case I must. I love this dress on the model. The item came and the seams were nice and straight. The material a good thick quality. This is where the item fell short. I tried it on and the shoulder seams were in toward the neck, the bust was tight and the circumference of the sleeves were too small. I thought, "This is weird." I got out my trusty tape measure and those places were two to three inches smaller than the description on Amazon. Ladies don't always assume you ordered too small. Check the measurements of the item. The good thing was that I could send it back at no cost to me and they promptly refunded my money.

There is so much to like about this dress, that I wanted to write a review to let others know about it...it is a nice heavyweight fabric -- great for cooler weather -- with high quality stitching. The length is perfect, falling just below the knee -- looks great with leggings! The fullness of the dress feels delicious -- what a swirl! The color is a wonderful muted burgundy. The problems? None, as long as you're not too well endowed on top. The combination of the heavier fabric, full cut and higher neckline mean that this dress falls straight down and slightly out from your breasts. On the model in the pictures, this is not a problem -- for me, and my more fully endowed sisters, this great dress turns into a tent (sigh). It is a great piece and I wish I didn't have to send it back, but it will look great on the right body type...

But I must tell you if you see something you love from their company by quickly because it will sell out while you’re waiting. I’ve also started dressing my mother in their clothing, they have so many different styles that there is something for everyone. And everything is handmade customer service is amazing, and out of the dozens of outfits I’ve ordered I’ve only had to make one return, and it was my fault for trying to fit into a size that I knew was most likely going to not fit. If you haven’t tried the clothing because you’re afraid of the sizing or the quality; I attest to you as a make up artist and a Fashion design college major over 15 years ago.

I've not had great luck with Amazon clothing buys--mostly due to sizing discrepancies, but I was pleasantly surprised by this dress.I live up north and this is a nice cozy and casual dress for any weather except high summer temps, probably. (It is nice natual thickish fabric, so it actually might not be that bad in summer--at night, at least.)You can pair it with accessories to spiff it up a little. And it has nice deepish pockets.It's not form fitting and can be a little "sack-like," but if you pair it with colorful or patterned tights or leggings or stylish shoes or ankle boots, it has that kind of hip city fashion look. (I don't know how to explain it.)It silhouettes out shape-wise around the hips, but it gives it a more feminine curvy shape compared to othet dresses that just hang straight down. I'm 5'7" and usually a size 8 or 10 dress and a 40D cup, so I bought a large in case they run small or shrink after washing. I probably could get away with a medium, but I don't look like I'm swimming in the large.
